As much as we are scratching our heads at the difference between this season and last with Leicester, the same can be said for Chelsea.

Last year, we couldn't quite grasp how Diego Costa's form had fallen off a cliff - even Eden Hazard -  there were so many players playing well below their best, but Antonio Conte has come in and changed that around and brought balance to the side - they are now outstanding.

Paul Clement has worked more miracles than Santa since taking over at Swansea.

Now the 45-year-old aims to create another surprise at former employers Chelsea.

"No-one expects us to win," says the Swans head coach.

"People may see it as a shot to nothing for us. That might have been the case going to Liverpool and Manchester City, but I think they would say we gave them hard games.

"I think we could give anyone a difficult game in this moment. We are in a decent run and we have to keep that going with a performance, even if we cannot get a result."

Italians would not usually be allowed into the England camp ahead of a crunch Six Nations match. This Italian, however, was not interested in spying on the Red Rose's plans.

Antonio Conte's visit to see the England's rugby union team was purely to swap a few pearls of wisdom with head coach Eddie Jones.

"It is important for me to compare my work and experience with another sport to gain inspiration and tactical ideas for the future," says the Chelsea manager.

"For me it was very interesting to observe another sport and the differences between the two, such as the physical aspect to their training, as well as speak with Eddie Jones about the analysis side to the game.

"Eddie is a winner and he is transferring that mentality on to the team."

    Claudio Ranieri's sacking - a Chelsea v Swansea guide:

    1) Paul Clement.  A change of boss  has taken Swansea above Leicester in the table, and their comfortable win over the Foxes two weeks ago followed a pledge by the champions' owners of 'unwavering support' to their manager.

Now former Chelsea assistant manager Clement returns to Stamford Bridge, along with assistant…..

    2) Claude Makelele. Twice a champion with Chelsea. He re-defined the role of 'midfield shield', paving the way for the likes of….

    3) N'Golo Kante. Like Makelele, brought to the Premier League by Ranieri. THE key player in Leicester's title win, he's now playing a huge part in making Chelsea champions under….

    4) Antonio Conte. Sacked next season? Sicuramente no!

  6. Andy King publically thanks Ranieripublished at 14:55 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2017

I'd like to publicly say a big thank you for helping me & my club win the Premier League last season and compete in the Champions League this year.. that is every young players dream and I'd like to say thank you and good luck in the future."

Watford v West Ham (17:30 GMT)

    Martin Fisher
    Match of the Day commentator

Watford's season effectively kicked off 41 minutes into their match against West Ham at the London Stadium in mid-September.

Trailing 2-0, a deflected shot from Odion Ighalo reduced the arrears and proved the catalyst to a stunning revival.

4-2 victory  saw them soar out of the bottom three, early relegation fears were eased and they've not looked in serious trouble since.

Improving on last season's finish of 13th looks within their reach, but that bid could be checked by a Hammers side that has been so impressive on the road since Christmas.

Tony Pulis cut his teeth as a manager at Bournemouth.  He signed Eddie Howe.  Now the Cherries boss needs to learn  valuable lessons, external  from his old mentor in how to handle a team sinking in the top flight and refloat them.

Pulis has made a career of keeping Premier League clubs up from troubled positions through sheer organisation.

I'm not saying Eddie doesn't have those qualities. He does. But this is the first time his team looks in real trouble at this level. He needs to pull defenders with fine individual spirit into a more cohesive unit.

At the turn of the year Hull looked doomed; devoid of any confidence and hope. The impact Marco Silva and his new faces have had since  has been remarkable., external

Now the Tigers have an opportunity to record three consecutive home wins in the Premier League for the first time.

They face a Burnley team who, incredibly, only have a solitary point on their travels.

That has to change at some stage and Sean Dyche's team will hope for a response after  last weekend's cup shock.

    Everton v Sunderland (15:00 GMT)

    Alistair Mann
    Match of the Day commentator

David Moyes' 11-year tenure at Everton was heralded as one of encouraging progress and consistency.

It's worth bearing in mind that the primary task on his appointment there in March 2002 was to steer them away from relegation trouble.

His aim at Sunderland has been the same and, with limited funds in addition to a crippling injury list, it's only been his sagely managerial nous which has kept the Black Cats from sinking without trace.

With Everton on a European quest and in imperious form, there will be little evidence of sentiment for the club's third-longest serving manager.

Factor in a number of ex-Everton employees within Moyes' squad and we're guaranteed a fascinating afternoon.

  11. Koeman doing a good job - Moyespublished at 14:46 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2017

    Everton 1-0 Sunderland

Neither the fortunes of David Moyes nor Everton have reached quite the same heights since their relationship ended a few years ago.

But the Scot returns to Goodison Park today believing the Toffees are on the right track, although still a way behind, to replicating his own feats during an 11-year reign.

"I think Koeman is doing a good job. Everton want to compete with the top clubs but I still think there's a bit to do to break into it," says Moyes, who returns for only the second time.

"We were fortunate in that we did break into it when we got into the Champions League, so maybe looking back it just shows you what level of achievement that actually was."

Crystal Palace v Middlesbrough (15:00 GMT)

    Steve Wilson

Fancy a goal-fest to brighten up your weekend? Probably best to stay clear of Selhurst Park then.

Fancy a tense, tight, gritty battle with anxiety oozing from every pore? Palace is the place for you.

Having watched Crystal Palace lose their last five league games at Selhurst - and score a pitiful 11 league goals on home soil all season - it's really no wonder that the famously boisterous Holmesdale Enders have had their patience stretched almost to the limit.

Boro's inability to score is, if anything, even more chronic - just three goals in the last eight league games, none of which they have won.

With both firmly entrenched in the bottom five this probably won't be pretty - but it will be important.

    Back to Big Sam...

He was hailed as the saviour to Palace's season - but has he lost his bounce?

We don't mean Allardyce's trampette was blown out of his back yard by Storm Doris.

No, we mean it appears the blink-and-you'll-it England manager has not revived Palace's fortunes like he did at other struggling clubs.

Footballers love trotting out a cliche - and Middlesbrough midfielder Adlene Guedioura has provided a gem ahead of this weekend's crunch match at Crystal Palace.

The 31-year-old Algerian says the trip to Selhurst Park is a "six-pointer" in Boro's battle against relegation.

"I have nothing to prove to them, but for sure I'm thinking about three points," Guedioura tells BBC Tees.

"It's a six-point game really. When you play the teams around you, you have to win because you can take an advantage and start a good run."
