    Wolves 0-0 Birmingham City

This time Wolves win a free -kick and manage to keep it on the pitch. It ends with a tame shot on goal from Matt Doherty, although shot might be overstating it.

It dribbles towards Birmingham keeper Tomasz Kuszczak.

    Wolves 0-0 Birmingham City

Bang on cue, another pass by Helder Costa goes astray. Wolves have looked brighter but their quality in the final third is lacking at the moment.

Not a sniff of goal yet. A fair few misplaced passes, lots of tough tackling and not a lot of quality. It's early days yet though.

  4. Postpublished at 13 mins

    Wolves 0-0 Birmingham City

Another overhit cross from Wolves. This time it's not Helder Costa though. The winger finds Matt Doherty, who is unable to pick out one of three team-mates in the Blues box.

  5. Postpublished at 11 mins

    Wolves 0-0 Birmingham City

Wolves centre-half Richard Stearman sends a slightly nervy backpass to goalkeeper Carl Ikeme, who has to rush his clearance and sensibly opts to put it into touch with Che Adams in close attendance.

    Burton 0-0 Blackburn

It has been a relatively quiet start to life under Tony Mowbray for Blackburn so far. Danny Graham has fired over the bar from a half chance for the visitors, but neither side have really tested the keeper yet.

  7. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Wolves 0-0 Birmingham City

Birmingham are enjoying their first spell of noteworthy possession. They cannot force an opening though and are forced all the way back.

    No chances yet.

More pressure from the home side, with some decent approach play leading to Jon Dadi Bödvarsson winning a corner, which comes to nothing.

An encouraging start by Paul Lambert's side.

  9. Postpublished at 4 mins

    Wolves 0-0 Birmingham City

And this time Helder Costa sends it out of play from the other flank.

    At least it was consistent.

  10. Postpublished at 4 mins

    Wolves 0-0 Birmingham City

Wolves have a free-kick on the left about 40 yards from goal. The cross is overhit by Helder Costa and drifts over the bar.

But they quickly win another set-piece.

  11. Postpublished at 1 min

    Wolves 0-0 Birmingham City

No messing from Birmingham's Paul Robinson, who goes flying in to an early challenge. A proper derby start.

Burton Albion v Blackburn Rovers (19:45 GMT)

New Blackburn boss Tony Mowbray makes just one change from the side that lost to Manchester United in the FA Cup, with Ryan Nyambe replacing the injured Gordon Greer in defence.

Striker Sam Gallagher is on the bench after a knee injury.

Feeling optimistic Rovers fans? Alright, very optimistic. A win by eight goals in Mowbray's first game in charge would take your team out of the relegation zone.

After their heavy home loss to QPR, Birmingham make three changes, as Jerome Sinclair, Greg Stewart and the injured Jonathan Grounds make way.

Midfielders David Davis - formerly of Wolves - and Craig Gardner both return after suspension, while Paul Robinson is in a centre-half in place of Grounds.

Gianfranco Zola seems to be sticking with the 3-5-1-1 formation that he began Birmingham's last game with.

Starting XI: Kuszczak, Nsue, Dacres-Cogley, Shotton, Robinson, Keita, Kieftenbeld, Tesche, Gardner, Davis, Adams.

Subs: Legzdins, Gleeson, Stewart, Frei, O'Keefe, Bielik, Sinclair.

  19. Facing the Foxes?published at 19:26 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2017

Burton Albion v Blackburn Rovers, Wolves v Birmingham City (Both 19:45 GMT)

But lose three on the spin, add in a bit of player unrest chat, mix with an unhealthy slab of panic and all of a sudden you could get a tap on the shoulder/awkward phone call/abrupt message.

Just ask Claudio Ranieri, whose dream has died.

    Claudio RanieriImage source, Rex Fe

Not that long ago, pre-Ranieri Leicester were in the Championship and should they return there next season, the four fellas in charge of Burton, Blackburn, Wolves and Birmingham will be hoping they stick around long enough to meet the current Premier League champions.

  20. A new face, freefall and glancing nervouslypublished at 19:24 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2017

Burton Albion v Blackburn Rovers, Wolves v Birmingham City (Both 19:45 GMT)

Mowbray's Rovers are bang in the mire, with the former West Brom, Celtic and Middlesbrough boss taking charge for the first time with his side three points from safety.

They face Clough's improving Burton who have two wins and a draw from their last four.

Wolves head into a Midlands derby facing the possibility of a fourth successive home defeat.

Gianfranco's Blues are ten points clear of the bottom three, but are in freefall with just six points from 36 under the Italian.

    Wins tonight will be huge.
