    Alaves 0-2 Barcelona

Barcelona, having ridden that scare at the start of the second half, have managed to calm things down. They're passing the ball around, taking their time. Alaves are launching the odd counter-attack, and that may represent the home side's best hope of a recovery.

Attacking midfielder Oscar Romero has come on for Alaves, replacing Aleksandar Katai.

  3. Bayern go seven points clearpublished at 16:26 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

    Bundesliga round-up

An extraordinary finish at Ingolstadt, where leaders Bayern Munich have scored two goals right at the finish to secure the points. Arturo Vidal struck in the 90th minute, Arjen Robben in the 91st. It's 2-0 to the champions, and they have gone seven points clear, because second-placed RB Leipzig have lost 3-0 at home to struggling Hamburg.

Eintracht Frankfurt, in third, have been beaten 3-0 at Bayer Leverkusen. And, in the biggest surprise of all, Borussia Dortmund, in fourth, have lost 2-1 at bottom of the table Darmstadt - their first league win since 22 October.

In the other 14:30 GMT Bundesliga game, Borussia Monchengladbach have won 1-0 at Werder Bremen. Schalke, in 13th, face sixth-placed Hertha Berlin at 17:30.

    Alaves 0-2 Barcelona

Alaves have switched to three centre-backs at half-time to allow the full-backs to get forward and put pressure on Barca. It almost works straight away. Kiko Femenia, on for Nena Krsticic at the break, swings over a cross from the left and Christian Santos, with only the keeper to beat, skies his shot from 10 yards.

Off we go with the second half. All the planets are aligning for Barcelona, it would seem.

  6. Luis Enrique's horoscopepublished at 16:13 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

    Alaves 0-2 Barcelona

A little earlier, I checked out Alaves head coach Mauricio Pellegrino's horoscope, after he said: "To beat Barca, the planets will have to align."

Well, so far, they haven't. But were they instead aligning for Barcelona boss Luis Enrique? He was born on 8 May 1970, which makes him a Taurus. Here's Mystic Meg in today's Sun:

"Jupiter, guardian angel of the planets, draws you to a person or activity that can reshape your fitness future and do it in a way you enjoy."

OK, that sounds a bit like it could be a reference to football. So far, so good. Carry on, Meg.

"In love, so much has gone unsaid or undone lately - but all that changes, making you and a partner closer than close. Single? You first say hello where people wear name tags."

    Now I'm lost.

  7. Dortmund despair?published at 16:04 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

    Bundesliga latest

Bayer Leverkusen now lead Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0. Javier Hernandez, the former Manchester United striker, has got the goal,. About 15 minutes to go there.

Eintracht are in third, but fourth-placed Borussia Dortmund seem in no mood to overtake them. They are 2-1 down at bottom club Darmstadt - who have picked up just one point from their last 11 league matches. It's fair to say there's a shock on the cards there.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 16:01 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

    Alaves 0-2 Barcelona

Alaves looked pretty comfortable for 37 minutes, despite not having much of the possession. Then they got caught by two quick punches, and now they're on the ropes. Barcelona, meanwhile, are heading back to the top of La Liga as it stands, at least for a few hours.

    Alaves 0-2 Barcelona

Mauricio Pellegrino's pre-match comments about the planets needing to align if his Alaves side were to beat Barcelona look very true now - even if I couldn't make sense of his horoscopes earlier. I'll check out Luis Enrique's at half-time. That's something for you to look forward to.

    Neymar

What an odd goal. Perked up by the opener, Barcelona go in chase of a second. Lionel Messi chips one over the top for Luis Suarez, and goalkeeper Fernando Pacheco tries to flick it away from the forward as he gets his head to it - not spotting that Neymar is standing right next to him. The Brazil international cannot believe his luck, although he makes damn sure he takes advantage of it, tapping into the empty net.

GOAL - Alaves 0-1 Barcelonapublished at 37 mins

    Luis Suarez

They didn't need Iniesta after all. Lovely build-up, actually, with Neymar just drawing the home defence out of position, before the ball is worked wide right for Aleix Vidal to drive in a first-time cross. Luis Suarez gets free to turn in from close range. It's the Uruguay international's 17th La Liga goal of the season, and nudges him one clear of Lionel Messi as the comeptition's outright top scorer.

    Alaves 0-0 Barcelona

Neymar down the left for Barcelona, running at Carlos Vigaray, tries to slip a pass through towards the penalty spot to meet the run of Andre Gomes, but Victor Laguardia is well-placed to clear for Alaves. That's how it's been for Luis Enrique's side so far.

    Alaves 0-0 Barcelona

After that brief flurry of action a few moments ago, the match has resumed its previous pattern; Barcelona having plenty of possession, while Alaves deny them the space to do much with it. A test of MSN's creativity this. They could do with Andres Iniesta out there to pick a decisive pass or two, I suspect.

Apologies to all you Werder Bremen and Borussia Monchengladbach fans, by the way: I didn't mention the score of your game in my Bundesliga round-up earlier. Monchengladbach lead 1-0 with a goal from Thorgan Hazard. Further apologies to all you Werder Bremen fans for mentioning the score now. It remains goalless between Ingolstadt and Bayern Munich, while Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt still trail.

    Alaves 0-0 Barcelona

Alaves scored their opening goal at the Nou Camp earlier this season out of nowhere, and they almost repeat the trick at the Estadio Mendizorrotza. Theo Hernandez, the left-back, makes a storming run of about 70 years, leaving Barcelona's defenders trailing, and gets all the way to the penalty area before suddenly thinking: "What am I doing here?" The finish is far from clinical, and Marc-Andre ter Stegen is off his line to block.

The visitors counter, and Andre Gomes has a sight of goal at the other end. He aims for the near post, and Fernando Pacheco turns it round. The game's opening up.

    Alaves 0-0 Barcelona

But there's always a danger when Lionel Messi has the ball, and the little magician almost negotiates a way through the obstacle course. He forces a ball through to Luis Suarez, who is blocked by a combination of keeper Fernando Pacheco and his defenders. Not what I'd call a clear chance, even though the whole incident, and the brief scramble that followed, all took place within 10 yards of the home goal.

  17. Postpublished at 20 mins

    Alaves 0-0 Barcelona

Barcelona continue to dominate the possession. Neymar wins a corner, which he takes himself, but again it's met by an Alaves head, this one belonging to Christian Santos. Alaves have been disciplined so far.

  18. Postpublished at 19 mins

    Alaves 0-0 Barcelona

Barcelona win a free-kick down the left, by the corner flag, and Neymar has recovered enough to be able to take it. Plenty of blue and white shirts back, though, and the ball is cleared.

One match from La Liga earlier today to bring you up to date with: It wasn't a classic. Real Betis and Valencia drew 0-0.

  19. Postpublished at 17 mins

    Alaves 0-0 Barcelona

A bit of concern for the visitors as Neymar turns infield past Alaves right-back Carlos Vigaray and seems to tweak his ankle. There's a wince from the Brazil international, who will try to run it off.

  20. Postpublished at 15 mins

    Alaves 0-0 Barcelona

Barcelona press without success. Neymar spreads his arms wide like Pavarotti about to belt out Nessum Dorma as appeals from a free-kick are denied. Plenty of patient passing for the visitors; no breakthrough yet.

But then suddenly, Aleix Vidal latches on to a knockdown inside the home penalty area and hits a rising shot that just clears the bar.
