Take a bow Zdenek Zeman. This week, the legendary coach returned to Pescara, who sacked Massimo Oddo after a run that has seen them fail to win since August. Zeman's first game? A 5-0 win over Genoa.

They remain bottom of Serie A but surely now have hope they can get out of trouble.

RB Leipzig reduced Bayern Munich's lead at the top of the Bundesliga to five points with a 2-1 win over Borussia Moenchengladbach.

Emil Forsberg and Timo Werner, with his 12th goal of the season, gave the league's surprise outfit their 14th win of the campaign.

Leipzig's Hungarian goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi saved Thorgan Hazard's penalty on the stroke of half-time before Danish centre-back Jannik Vestergaard finally found the net for the home side nine minutes from time.

Leipzig are now eight points clear of nearest rivals Borussia Dortmund.

  3. Ancelotti admits to gesturepublished at 20:42 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2017

Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti had a good week somewhat spoiled on Saturday when he was apparently spat on at the end of his side's 1-1 draw with Hertha Berlin.

The Italian has since admitted to offering a middle-finger gesture in response to those he believed had perpetrated the act.

"Yes, I made the gesture after being spat at," he told broadcaster ARD.

Robert Lewandowski's equaliser for Bundesliga leaders Bayern came after the indicated five minutes of added time at the end of Saturday's game.

Hertha boss Pal Dardai described the extra time played as "Bayern's bonus".

  4. Ligue 1 updatepublished at 20:39 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2017

    PSG 0-0 Toulouse

Still 0-0 in Paris in a game of few chances. Toulouse have looked useful on the break, while the home side are struggling to find the space they were afforded by a more attack-minded Barca on Tuesday.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2017

    Barcelona 1-0 Leganes

Get this - Barcelona are fortunate to be heading into the break 1-0 ahead against Leganes.

They've had three-quarters of possession but have not used it well, barring one occasion, and they look vulnerable to being hit on the counter.

Against all expectations, this game remains in the balance with 45 to go.

    Barcelona 1-0 Leganes

Ter Stegen is the main reason this is still 1-0. After seeing a corner cleared, Leganes come again and El Zahr's deflected shot is destined for the goal until the home keeper adjusts and dives to his left to claw the ball away.

Barcelona have had 74% of possession in this half, but the best chances aside from the goal have fallen to the away side.

    Barcelona 1-0 Leganes

It simply isn't clicking for Barcelona in the final third. We've seen plenty of angled balls into the box, looking for the runs of Messi, Suarez and Neymar but they majority have been too heavy or too soft.

There are moments as well when they look very shaky at the back. Only a fine last-ditch challenge from Jeremy Mathieu prevents Guerrero charging clear.

Meanwhile, back in Barcelona, the home side continue to probe away at Leganes without opening them up. The home fans are chanting for Luis Enrique, though. He still clearly retains plenty of support.

  10. Serie A updatepublished at 20:25 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2017

    Milan 2-1 Fiorentina

Gerard Deulofeu has just produced a reminder of his ability with his first goal in a Milan shirt. It is a delightful solo effort as well, which sees him dart to the edge of the box and curl home. Lovely stuff.

Milan lead Fiorentina 2-1 thanks to the strike.

    Barcelona 1-0 Leganes

The scoreline has acted as a fillip for Leganes. They are showing a bit of belief. They win a corner, which is swung in and met by an away head but nodded over.

Neymar fancies doing it all by himself. He collects a pass from Messi near the edge of the box and dances past a host of challenges but his final attempted ball is cut out.

  13. Ligue 1 updatepublished at 20:18 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2017

    PSG 0-0 Toulouse

15 minutes gone in Paris. No goals. Lucas Moura has just gone close for the home side with an singled shot in the box, saved by Alban Lafont.

Messi strikes the ball but straight into the wall. Leganes survive.

  15. Postpublished at 29 mins

    Barcelona 1-0 Leganes

Big opportunity for Barca now. Messi is hacked down on the edge of the box. There will be a few eager takers for this...

  16. Postpublished at 28 mins

    Barcelona 1-0 Leganes

Suarez tries to be clever in the box, flicking the ball to try and set up Rafinha, but he gets it wrong and the ball skips out of play.

Soon after, Suarez gets it right with a more traditional pass to set up Messi, but the Argentine's shot is blocked by Iago Herrerin.

  17. Postpublished at 25 mins

    Barcelona 1-0 Leganes

More slack play from Barca. Andre Gomes, who had a stinker in Paris (he wasn't alone), looks to find a man out left but slaps his pass between two and straight out of play. Barca are leading here. They have probably had not far off 90% of possession, yet the cracks are there to be seen. This is not a confident side.

  18. Postpublished at 21 mins

    Barcelona 1-0 Leganes

A ball into the box designed for Luis Suarez is way too heavy and skips out of play ahead of the Uruguayan. Lazy.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 18 mins

    Barcelona 1-0 Leganes

Hang on a sec. What's this?! Nabil el Zhar has two golden opportunities to level for Leganes. A long ball over the top releases the forward, whose initial shot is blocked by Ter Stegen, who is then alert enough to dive to his left and save the follow-up.

It is a very clear warning to Barca that they need to do more with all this possession. There has been a hint of complacency.
