    Sheff Wed 0-1 Reading

Both these sides' recent form-guides read, in identical order, as follows: WLLWDL

As things stand, Reading are going to be adding that precious W and three huge points.

Wednesday have around 40 minutes to turn this around.

Sheffield Wednesday are working the ball around, trying to create something, but Reading are making it hard for them at the moment.

    Sheff Wed 0-1 Reading

And, right on cue, they're back under way at Hillsborough.

  4. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:47 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2017

    Bristol City 2-0 Huddersfield

We've not said this too many times just recently - the half-time whistle at Ashton Gate is greeted with a roar of approval.

Bristol City are deservedly ahead on the overall balance, but that second goal right before half-time is a Brucie bonus for head coach Lee Johnson.

    Bristol City 2-0 Huddersfield

It seems a strange thing to say about an 19-year-old enjoying his first season in professional football - but that goal is absolutely textbook Tammy Abraham.

David Cotterill gets clear down the right and delivers a teasing near-post cross, and Abraham shows lightning movement and wonderful game awareness to get across his man and stab in at the near post.

A true poacher's goal puts City 2-0 ahead.

    Bristol City 1-0 Huddersfield

And now Frank Fielding has been forced into his first save of the evening, stretching to his right to keep Rajiv van La Parra's low shot from levelling things up.

The home crowd sound nervy, their side looking more and more like the away team.

    HT: Port Vale 0-0 Shrewsbury

Meanwhile, it is half-time in tonight's League One game, where 21st-placed Port Vale and 19th-placed Shrewsbury Town remain goalless.

  9. Postpublished at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2017

    Bristol City 1-0 Huddersfield

So while they all pause for a cuppa at Hillsborough, we've still got another 10 minutes or so of first-half action to tuck into at Ashton Gate.

The away side are controlling possession as the rain continues to fall in south Bristol, but City are holding firm for now. I'd say they'll be pleased for half-time to arrive now.

Yann Kermorgant's goal and a couple of fine saves from Ali Al Habsi separate these two sides at the break.

In contrast, just two minutes of added time will be played at Hillsborough at the end of the first half.

  12. Postpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2017

    Bristol City 1-0 Huddersfield

There's going to be a whopping 14 minutes of stoppage time at the end of this first half after that injury to Jonathan Hogg.

  13. Postpublished at 20:30 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2017

    Bristol City 1-0 Huddersfield

Marlon Pack gives away a free-kick around 25 yards from his own goal, presenting Huddersfield with a decent set-piece opportunity.

But Chris Lowe's curling effort drifts over the crossbar. The Terriers are still slowly but surely growing into the game.

    Sheff Wed 0-1 Reading

    Carlos CarvalhalImage source, Rex Features

Owls boss Carlos Carvalhal is deep in thought. His side can't afford to lose this one. They've lost three of their past five games and have back-to-back away games to come after this.

They're creating chances, but just can't get past Ali Al Habsi.

  15. Postpublished at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2017

    Bristol City 1-0 Huddersfield

The pace of the game has just dropped off a bit since that Lee Tomlin goal, with Huddersfield seeing more of the ball but the home side still relatively comfortable keeping them at arm's length.

Rajiv van La Parra has a shot from distance that drops tamely wide of Frank Fielding's left-hand post.

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:21 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2017

    Sheff Wed 0-1 Reading

Ali Al Habsi, take a bow! From just a few yards out, the Reading stopper denies Jordan Rhodes, getting a hand on the ball to divert the Owls striker's header round the post.

    Pure, reflex stuff.

  17. CLOSE!published at 20:20 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2017

    Sheff Wed 0-1 Reading

Another chance goes begging for Sheffield Wednesday as Adam Reach fires over the bar from close range. He really skied it! Big moment.

    Bristol City 1-0 Huddersfield

    Lee TomlinImage source, rex

It's an ugly old goal, but that won't bother Bristol City, Lee Johnson and Lee Tomlin one bit.

Huddersfield make an absolute mess of Tomlin's aimless hooked ball up into the air to Tammy Abraham, two or three times failing to clear and in the end the former Middlesbrough and Bournemouth man bundles his way through, rounds the goalkeeper and slots into an empty net.

It's a shock lead but, make no mistake, the Robins are deservedly ahead.

    Bristol City 0-0 Huddersfield

Bristol City have had the better of this opening half an hour in my book, full of energy and effort but not quite carving out that clear chance on Danny Ward's goal.
