In Italy, Dries Mertens has scored twice as Napoli lead Roma 2-0 after about 53 minutes. Like Germany, that might mean the end of what's left of a title race. Juventus are seven points above Roma, and would have a game in hand.

Most of the Bundesliga teams are playing right now but the most notable score is Bayern Munich leading 1-0 at Cologne.

That would take them seven points clear of RB Leipzig, who dropped points tonight, which will surely remove any kind of title race. Javi Martinez got the goal for Carlo Ancelotti's side.

Borussia Dortmund are 2-0 up against Bayer Leverkusen.

It's getting tight at the top in Spain again. A few weeks ago it looked like maybe it was going to be a procession to the title for Real Madrid.

But one win in the past three games, coupled with five victories in a row for Barcelona has changed everything.

Barca now top La Liga, although Real have a game in hand. A win against Eibar this afternoon would take Real top - until Barca play Celta Vigo at 19:45 GMT anyway.

But a win is not a formality for Zinedine Zidane's side - away to overachieving minnows Eibar, who are seventh in the table.

Real Madrid have put out a fairly weak team (relatively speaking). No Gareth Bale or Cristiano Ronaldo up front means Karim Benzema is supported by Marco Asensio, Lucas Vazquez and James Rodriguez. Neither of the first-choice full-backs are starting either.

Eibar aren't full of household names in English football, although most Premier League fans might recognise one name on their bench - Manchester United legend Bebe.

Eibar:  Yoel, Ramis, Escalante, Capa, Enrich, Pena, Dani Garcia, Dos Santos, Luna, Leon, Adrian. Subs: Galvez, Rivera, Inui, Riesgo, Kike, Arbilla, Bebe.

Real Madrid:  Navas, Danilo, Ramos, Pepe, Nacho, Casemiro, Modric, Rodriguez, Vazquez, Benzema, Asensio. Subs: Casilla, Carvajal, Kroos, Marcelo, Kovacic, Mariano, isco.

No, this isn't a maths exam, don't worry. Just some team news.

Real Madrid are without two members of their famous 'BBC' frontline - suspended Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo, who has a minor injury.

With Alvaro Morata also banned today, there's a lot of pressure on Karim Benzema's shoulders today.
