Hull 0-1 West Ham
Ranocchia's first act after coming back on is to aimlessly punt the ball out of play, straight to the feet of manager Marco Silva.
Silva controls with aplomb I have to say.
Hull unbeaten in last seven home games in all competitions
West Ham have suffered three straight league defeats as part of a five-match winless run

Hull 0-1 West Ham
More injury bother in the Hull back line. Andrea Ranocchia is again in the wars after taking a clout from former Tiger Robert Snodgrass.
A bruising afternoon for the Italian but he'll be back on in a moment or two.
Hull 0-1 West Ham
The second half begins.
Hull 0-1 West Ham
A half-time change for the hosts and it's Curtis Davies who's been hauled off.
A change to a four-man defence is the order of the day and it's Poland winger Kamil Grosicki who comes on.
Hull 0-1 West Ham
A half that very much sums up why Hull are where they are in the table.
A patched-up West Ham side on a poor run of form have come here and really not been troubled, with Manuel Lanzini and Andy Carroll causing the hosts all kinds of bother.
Carroll's goal was totally avoidable from a Hull perspective while the hosts have also been rushed and aimless in attack.
This is a big half-time team talk coming up for Marco Silva.
Hull 0-1 West Ham
Andy Carroll must be an absolute nightmare to play against.
He just went thundering into Andrea Ranocchia as they challenged for the ball and ultimately forced the Hull man to boot the ball out for a corner 30 yards from goal.
The Italian looks perplexed by that little sequence of play.
Hull 0-1 West Ham
Harry Maguire limping for Hull now.
Michael Dawson will surely be needed at some point today.
Two of Hull's centre-backs have picked up knocks and the third, Curtis Davies, was at fault for the goal. Dawson's presence back there would not go amiss.
Hull 0-1 West Ham
It's been a scrappy old half for the most part. The best player on the park is definitely Manuel Lanzini. When he's in possession things just looks a little bit calmer out there. He'll always pick a pass and always drift into space.
Hull 0-1 West Ham
West Ham captain Andy Carroll is down needing treatment after taking a bit of a whack as the visitors cleared a Hull free-kick.
It was partly a hit from his goalkeeper and partly a heavy landing.
Think he's OK though.
Hull 0-1 West Ham
Better from Hull. Lazar Markovic leads a quick counter and picks out Oumar Niasse down the right. The ball eventually breaks to Amed Elmohamady who sees his drilled effort charged down.
Hull 0-1 West Ham
Top marks Elidin Jakupovic. The Hull goalkeeper has to go full stretch to keep out a superb low strike by Manuel Lanzini, who cut inside from the left and fired in a powerful effort with his right foot.
Hull 0-1 West Ham
West Ham's defence creaking under pressure from Hull there but it was all very scrappy from the Tigers.
Lazar Markovic might have taken a shot on the initial attack but elected to take the ball wide from where Ahmed Elmohamady fired over a cross that West Ham scrambled clear.
It's very untidy from Hull going forward. They need much more composure.

Former West Brom striker on Final Score
Carroll has been a big player for West Ham today. Again, poor defending from Hull here.
It's a difficult finish for Carroll - he had to bring it down on his chest and control it well but Curtis Davies shouldn't get caught under the ball like that - he had plenty of time to see it and act on it.
Hull 0-1 West Ham
A very untidy moment for West Ham goalkeeper Darren Randolph, who tries to take the ball around Lazar Markovic but his touch is too heavy and Abel Hernandez is there to pressure him.
Randolph actually went in pretty heavily on Hernandez as he cleared the danger but wasn't pulled up by the referee.
Hull 0-1 West Ham
More trouble for Hull here with Italian defender Andrea Ranocchia down and in need of treatment after appearing to injure his ankle in a standing challenge with Manuel Lanzini.
Michael Dawson is available off the bench but this is not what Hull need.
Hull 0-1 West Ham
Not a moment Hull captain Curtis Davies will want to see again.
A simple, lofted ball into the area by Aaron Cresswell somehow evades the Hull centre-back allowing captain-for-the-day Andy Carroll to bring the ball down on his chest and apply a smart finish beyond Eldin Jakupovic.
Too easy for the big striker, and that's his 50th career Premier League goal.
Andy Carroll
Hull 0-0 West Ham
Almost the moment all Hull fans have been dreading as the ball is crossed to the far post for the waiting Robert Snodgrass but his header lacks power and Eldin Jakupovic saves. The Scotland man looked to have strayed offside there so it would have been double frustration for the hosts had that hit the net.
Hull 0-0 West Ham
Ahmed Elmohamady is back in the Hull line-up today and forces a corner when his cross from the right is blocked. West Ham clear but when it's fired in again by Alfred N'Diaye Jose Fonte has to slide in to force another corner.
Pressure building.
