    Manchester City 2-0 Hull

Well Manchester City are cruising now.

They're knocking it about in the sun with ease and just upping the tempo whenever they spot a gap.

Hull are still pretty much camped in their own half. Surely they have to make a change if they're going to salvage anything from this.

    Manchester City 2-0 Hull

Manchester City almost add a third immediately.

And it was nearly another own goal. I'm not quite sure which black shirt that came off but Eldin Jakupovic did pretty well to scramble across and keep it out.

    Manchester City 2-0 Hull

That was a goal made by Raheem Sterling.

All of a sudden the tricky winger springs into life and dances his way through the Hull defence before cutting it back for Sergio Aguero.

The Argentine lashes one goalwards, and it creeps between the legs of Eldin Jakupovic and squeezes over the line.

    He doesn't even celebrate.

Right then, 45 minutes for Hull City to grab just a second away win of the season in the Premier League? Or will Manchester City add to their lead?

    Here we go...

    Garth Crooks
Former Spurs striker on Final Score

Is the third relegation spot between Hull and Swansea? Garth is saying yes:

"I would say that. I've relegated Sunderland. Middlesbrough don't have the goals to pull them out of this situation so they're doomed. The third place is between Hull and Swansea. Crystal Palace have too much quality."

Both managers looked as though they had plenty to ponder at the break.

Pep Guardiola marched down the tunnel with purpose after seeming to get slightly more irritated as the opening period wore on, even though his side were winning.

Marco Silva walked much more slowly. They are clear underdogs for this game and have not done much attacking, to the extent Claudio Bravo has still not faced a shot on target.

That's that for the first half at City. Ahmed Elmohamady's own goal the difference.

David Silva, Leroy Sane... almost a deadly combination for Manchester City down the left.

Finally the hosts do drag Hull out and the Spaniard picks Sane out with a delightful throughball.

The pacey winger strides on to it and looks for Sergio Aguero in the middle, but Eldin Jakupovic is down quickly to smother.

    Manchester City 1-0 Hull

Manchester City are enjoying plenty of possession, but it's often seen them playing in front of a wall of black shirts.

They can afford to be more patient now after the goal, as Hull don't look too desperate to come out and attack.

Perhaps Marco Silva wants to get to half-time and then reassess. We'll see..

O Cube: Man City have no football discipline whatsoever. Almost conceding just after going a goal up Pep's not bringing anything special.

Jesus Navas is finding loads of room on the right for Manchester City. That's of course where the City goal came from.

The hosts win successive corners, but if there's one area Hull can match them then it's from set pieces and both are headed clear.

Fabian Delph didn't get to fully join in with the Manchester City goal celebration just then as he was called to the touchline for some instructions from his manager.

Pep Guardiola was pointing towards the corner flag where the dressing rooms are - I think it was the area he wants Delph to play the ball into.

Delph took a swig of water as he listened, then made to head back on the field as Hull were getting in position to kick-off.

But Guardiola had not quite finished and kept the midfielder there for a couple more seconds before the game could restart.

    Manchester City 1-0 Hull

I was chatting to a couple of Everton fans the other day about Oumar Niasse and they said the forward couldn't score for, ahem, toffee during his time at Goodison Park.

He didn't get too much of a chance there and has been finding the net for Marco Silva's side since getting a move, but the powerful forward should've added to his tally there.

    Manchester City 1-0 Hull

Moments after City open the scoring, Hull have a chance to pull level.

The ball ricochets around the City penalty box and eventually to Oumar Niasse in front of goal, but the striker can't connect with a side-footed effort.

  19. goal

GOAL - City break the deadlockpublished at 31 mins

    Manchester City 1-0 Hull

That's perhaps a little harsh on Hull, but others would argue City deserve their lead.

Jesus Navas scurries down the right and puts a low cross behind the Hull defence and across the six-yard box, where Ahmed Elmohamady can only turn it into his own net.
