    Tottenham v Watford (12:30 BST)

Harry Kane is back from the ankle injury that kept him out for three games - but he's only fit enough to make the bench. Instead it's Vincent Janssen who leads the line for Tottenham.

He is one of three changes to the team that beat Swansea 3-1 on Wednesday, including the return of captain and keeper Hugo Lloris, as Michel Vorm drops out of the squad with a knee injury. Pau Lopez is the sub keeper today.

Elsewhere, Kieran Trippier comes in for Kyle Walker at right-back, and Janssen is replacing Moussa Sissoko.

Tottenham XI:  Lloris, Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies, Dier, Dembele, Son, Alli, Eriksen, Janssen.

Subs: Walker, Kane, Wanyama, Nkoudou, Sissoko, Wimmer, Pau Lopez.

The suspended Miguel Britos and injured Sebastian Prodl are replaced by Adrian Mariappa - making his 250th appearance for the Hornets - and Daryl Janmaat in defence, while Etienne Capoue and Troy Deeney drop out, with Stefano Okaka and Isaac Success coming in.

Watford XI:  Gomes, Janmaat, Cathcart, Mariappa, Holebas, Amrabat, Doucoure, Cleverley, Niang, Okaka, Success.

Subs: Deeney, Zuniga, Kabasele, Capoue, Pantilimon, Mason, Eleftheriou.

Jack Linus: Worked at M&S, we sneaked off to play football in the storage fridge backstage. Used trays of food as posts, so cold but so fun.

Andrew: Put heating on full to create "full drainage" more likely to make mistakes. Played with tennis ball, broke almost every ornament.

(In reply to Andrew) Cerys: I can confirm this as his sister.Curtain rail crossbars, end to end living room pitch, no ornament left intact, boiling hot.

Some news you may have missed.

Former Manchester United footballer Andrew Cole has undergone a kidney transplant operation.

The 45-year-old, who also played for Newcastle United and Blackburn Rovers, suffered kidney failure after contracting an airborne virus in 2015.

The operation at Manchester Royal Infirmary was part of his treatment for focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, a spokesman for Manchester United said.

He added that Cole would be "taking a break" from his club ambassador role.

  10. Bournemouth set for highest finishpublished at 11:13 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Bournemouth v Chelsea (17:30 BST)

    Steve Wilson
    Match of the Day commentator

A seven-point lead with eight games remaining is not a cast-iron guarantee of success, but it's hard to see Chelsea straying from the blueprint which has taken them to the top.

Don't forget that Antonio Conte won the championship with Juventus in each of his last three seasons as a club manager. The Italian knows his way around a run-in and will have delighted Chelsea by  brushing aside rumours, external  that he might decamp back to Serie A this summer.

I was pretty concerned about Bournemouth a couple of months ago when it seemed they may be sucked into a relegation battle.

Now that their defence is looking tighter - and Joshua King has embarked on a hot streak of nine goals in 10 games - improving on last season's 16th-place finish looks almost a certainty.

  11. 'Grim form for the Hammers'published at 11:08 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

West Ham v Swansea (15:00 BST)

    Jonathan Pearce
    Match of the Day commentator

If West Ham lose this they will be deep in trouble, while Swansea's cave in against Tottenham means another defeat could open a chasm between them and safety.

Slaven Bilic has the backing of the owners for now but he must get four points from this and the Sunderland away game next week. After that, Everton, Tottenham and Liverpool lurk in the run-in.

Five defeats in a row and no wins in seven makes grim reading for the Hammers.

Four consecutive away defeats is concerning for the Swans but for a long while they were  decent against Spurs.  They could catch West Ham on another nervy day at the new stadium.

  12. 'Saints can't afford a defeat'published at 11:03 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

West Brom v Southampton (15:00 BST)

    Mark Scott
    Match of the Day commentator

When Tony Pulis signed a  contract extension  in October, the club said establishing West Brom as a top-10 team was the aim.

A win on Saturday would not only go a long way to ensuring they end up there this season, it would also keep them on track to equal their best league finish since 1981.

It was always going to be a tough ask for Claude Puel to continue Southampton's impressive run of improving their position season on season.

But a cup final appearance and ending up in the top eight would represent a good return in his first campaign as Saints boss.

To have a chance of achieving that, they can't really afford a defeat in this one.

  13. 'Who are favourites?'published at 10:59 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Stoke v Liverpool (15:00 BST)

    Guy Mowbray
    Match of the Day commentator

It's hard to know who to make favourites.

Stoke? Much stronger at home, and unburdened by immediate relegation pressure.

BUT…..three defeats in a row and one win from six is troubling form. They're not (mathematically) safe yet and perhaps need to engineer a sense of tension.

Liverpool? Five games unbeaten and one defeat in seven - plus the other three teams in the top four have all won at Stoke this season.

BUT….all five league defeats have come against sides currently in the bottom half, and their recent away form borders on rotten.

Those still going for an away win might pair it with  Definitly Red, external  for the Grand National. Me? I'm sticking a pin in for both.

  14. 'Perfect chance for Boro?'published at 10:56 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Middlesbrough v Burnley (15:00 BST)

    Martin Fisher
    Match of the Day commentator

After Wednesday's  defeat at fellow strugglers Hull City,  I thought this was a game Middlesbrough had to win.

After checking their remaining fixtures, I'm now convinced victory is absolutely vital.

You see, Boro still have to play Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal.

Seven points adrift of safety and without a win since Christmas, things are looking desperate, but a home game against Burnley might just provide a much-needed chink of light.

The Clarets' away record is easily the worst in the Premier League.

On paper, it's the perfect chance for Boro to inject fresh hope into their survival bid. Fail to grab it and the fat lady can start warming up in the wings.

  15. 'Never say never'published at 10:53 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

Manchester City v Hull (15:00 BST)

    Steve Bower
    Match of the Day commentator

The targets for both clubs are crystal clear: Manchester City have to be playing Champions League football next season, while Hull are desperate to keep their place at the top table.

After a testing run against Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea which yielded only two points, Manchester City have little room for error and this is a fixture they will hope to tick off without any drama.

Hull, though, have renewed belief following a run of nine points from the last 12 to kick-start their survival campaign.

Significantly, all those points have come at home and their solitary win on the road was back in August at Swansea.

However,  as Crystal Palace proved last weekend,  at this stage of the season you should never say never.

  16. 'Spurs still in the race'published at 10:49 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Tottenham v Watford (12:30 BST)

    Simon Brotherton
    Match of the Day commentator

Wednesday night's  thrilling finish at Swansea  keeps Tottenham in the title race, although Chelsea don't look like a team who are about to throw away a seven-point advantage at this stage of the season.

Mauricio Pochettino's free-scoring side have won 12 of the last 15 games, while making only a small dent in Chelsea's lead, so just have to keep winning and hope for the best.

Meanwhile, Watford have won their last two matches and have the same number of points as at this stage last season, but they haven't got a great record at White Hart Lane. It's 32 years since they last won there in the league.

Great news for Spurs, terrible news for Watford and bad news for Chelsea?

Tottenham striker Harry Kane could start against Watford this lunchtime after recovering from the ankle injury that has ruled him out of the past three games.

Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris remains a doubt due to illness and deputy Michel Vorm will have a knee injury assessed, so Pau Lopez is on standby for his debut.

Watford's Miguel Britos starts a two-match ban, and fellow defenders Younes Kaboul and Sebastian Prodl are injured.
