    Swansea 1-0 Stoke

Bad news for Swans fans reading this.

Hull are ahead at the KCOM Stadium. That means Swansea are right back where they started the game, in the relegation zone two points from safety.

    Swansea 1-0 Stoke

That is perhaps a risky substitution from Paul Clement, taking off your goal scorer and main striker for a centre-back with 30 minutes left.

There's a break in play on the field as Marko Arnautovic receives treatment for a foul by Kyle Naughton that sees the Swansea man booked.

  3. 'Berahino has been absolutely awful'published at 16:17 British Summer Time 22 April 2017

It's been all Swansea in this second half after a lot of huffing and puffing in the first 45 minutes.

Stoke's crosses into the box have been woefully poor - better delivery and they could easily be back on level terms.

Saido Berahino has been absolutely awful, only two or three successful pieces of link-up play so far and the rest of the time losing the ball. He's not a poor player, but he's been very poor this afternoon.

Saido brought a nice man-bag with him to south Wales today, though...

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 60 mins

    Swansea 1-0 Stoke

Goal scorer Fernando Llorente has been taken off by Swansea manager Paul Clement.

It looks as though Clement is settling for the one goal as centre-back Mike van der Hoorn is the man to replace him.

Lukasz Fabianski has been really sharp in coming off his line today and comes out to claim Glen Johnson's cross here.

Stoke have put plenty of crosses into the box, as you would with Peter Crouch up top, but at almost every opportunity the Pole has come out to stop the ball reaching Crouch.

  6. 'Swansea cannot sink deep'published at 16:10 British Summer Time 22 April 2017

    Swansea City 1-0 Stoke City

Stoke would have hoped Saido Berahino could have made a bigger impact since joining. But of course he brings baggage with him, and to be fair if he has a strong pre-season next year could be his.

In this second half, the one thing Swansea cannot do is sink deep. Because if they retreat, at some point a Xherdan Shaqiri cross will find Peter Crouch's head.

    Swansea 1-0 Stoke

This time Sigurdsson can't find a team-mate in the box as Peter Crouch heads away.

  8. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Swansea 1-0 Stoke

Chants of "Leon, Leon, Leon" ring around the Liberty as Leon Britton slides in to break up a Stoke attack.

Swansea go straight up the other end and win a corner. They're always dangerous with Gylfi Sigurdsson about.

  9. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Swansea 1-0 Stoke

That spectacular volley a few years back aside, Peter Crouch isn't known for his long-range shooting.

He's just tried a shot from outside the box here but it trickles into Lukasz Fabianski's arms.

  10. Postpublished at 46 mins

    Swansea 1-0 Stoke

    We're back under way again.

Swansea are 45 minutes away from a massive, massive win.

  11. Postpublished at 15:57 British Summer Time 22 April 2017

    Swansea 1-0 Stoke

As Dafydd points out Fernando Llorente is not the quickest.

What he is though is a goal scorer, particularly when the ball is in the air. Half of his goals this season have been headers.

Despite Stoke coming into the game towards the end of the half, I think the home side deserve their lead.

You can see why Fernando Llorente's sprinting stats are so low.

As good as he is in the air, the Spaniard is not a natural runner.

Leon Britton just played a fine through ball to him out wide, but Llorente chased it with the ease and pace of a beached cruise liner.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 22 April 2017

    Swansea 1-0 Stoke

    What am I talking about?

Swansea come within a whisker of doubling their lead as Jordan Ayew gets in down the right side of the box, unleashes a low shot which goes narrowly wide.

Straight up the other end, Berahino has another chance but he heads straight at Fabianski from Peter Crouch's knock back across goal.

    And that is half-time.

Swansea are just sitting in, looking to take their lead into the break.

There'll be two minutes of added time.

    Swansea 1-0 Stoke

Both sides are struggling to create chances as we head towards half-time.

Stoke are starting to have more of the ball but the Swansea defence, plus the midfield in front, are holding strong.

Xherdan Shaqiri has a shot from distance but it flies high and wide of the left-hand post.

Very ragged performances from both teams, really.

Mark Hughes will be very unhappy with the way his side started this game. For such an attacking line-up Stoke have done very little going forward. I'd expect significantly more intent in the second half.

    Swansea 1-0 Stoke

Much has been made of Fernando Llorente's performance last week at Watford. The Spaniard was recorded to have sprinted less than 20 metres in the match.

His header is the difference here, however. Today he's completed 23 sprints and, for those of you wondering, played at an average speed of 6.97km/h with a top speed of 27.40km/h.

    Swansea 1-0 Stoke

As things stand Swansea are out of the relegation zone on goal difference.

Fernando Llorente's early goal here has them above Hull in the table who are currently goalless at home against Watford.

It is a little difficult to gauge the mood inside the Liberty Stadium.

At times, the place is bouncing with noise and optimism as Swansea search for a precious win.

At others, it is gripped with nerves - such as when Stoke's Saido Berahino wasted a great opportunity as he headed wide from Joe Allen's pinpoint cross. This game is on a knife edge.

    Swansea 1-0 Stoke

That is by far Stoke's best chance of this half.

Joe Allen plays in a beautiful cross, right onto the head of Saido Berahino but the Englishman makes a mess of the header putting it harmlessly wide from seven yards.

Berahino is yet to score for Stoke since his January move from West Brom.
