Cliftonville v Crusaders
Crusaders boss Stephen Baxter wants to see his players on the attack against Cliftonville after their disappointing display at Windsor Park last week.
Cliftonville v Crusaders
Today would be a pretty day for Crusaders' impressive winning streak against Cliftonville to end.
The reigning champions have beaten their North Belfast rivals in their each of their last five meetings and, following a damaging defeat to Linfield last week, Stephen Baxter's men can ill afford another lacklustre performance as they look to close out a hat-trick of league titles.
Gerard Lyttle's side aren't merely playing for pride, though, as three points will boost their chances of finishing above Coleraine, currently five points ahead of the Reds in third.
Lyttle blasted Cliftonville's "lethargic" second-half performance against the Bannsiders last week, and will expect a rejuvenated display against the leaders in front of their home crowd this afternoon.
In October, Crues recovered from 3-0 to win 4-3 with a stunning comeback. Baxter will hope his players can deliver three points via the more conventional route at Solitude today. Relive that seven-goal thriller below.
Cliftonville v Crusaders
The big news is good news (well, if your allegiances lie with Crusaders). Yes, Jordan Owens has fully recovered from the calf strain that ruled him out last week and starts at Solitude.
Portadown 1-0 Ballinamallard Utd (Friday)
Ross Larkin scored a second-half winner as Portadown beat Ballinamallard United 1-0 at Shamrock Park on Friday to further delay their likely relegation.
It's just what we've wanted (well, maybe not Crusaders fans) - a title race that's going down to the wire. The Crues were cantering to a third straight Gibson Cup success but they've been reeled in by Linfield and their lead at the top is down to just one point with four games left.
The champions will be determined to avoid a third straight league defeat for the first time since 2008 as they make the short trip for a north Belfast derby against Cliftonville. Linfield are on the charge and they take on Ballymena United at the Showgrounds.
It could also be a decisive day at the other end of the table. Portadown avoided automatic relegation on Friday night by beating Ballinamallard but it will merely a temporary reprieve if Carrick Rangers overcome Ards. Anything less than three points will ensure that Rangers, who occupy the relegation play-off spot, finish in the bottom two.
The menu also includes Dungannon Swifts hosting Glentoran and Glenavon visiting a Coleraine side aiming to cement third place and European football. We'll have all the build-up, action and reaction so stay with us for what's sure to be a dramatic day in local football.
