    Quote Message

There's no spark - no ideas. It's all back to front, very direct and all so predictable from Linfield. They haven't created a decent chance.

  2. Job done for Crues alreadypublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Crusaders 4-0 Glenavon

Not many people would have expected this to be as one-sided as it has been but Crusaders have done everything that was required of them.

With this game wrapped up now, all eyes will be on Solitude to see if Cliftonville can hold off Linfield and keep the title at Seaview.

Stephen Baxter will have been delighted with that display, though. His players really have turned on the style to blow Glenavon away and all they can do now is hope that news of a Linfield goal doesn't filter through to ruin their party.

  5. goal

GOALpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Crusaders 4-0 Glenavon

Carvill gets his second and his side's fourth! What a dominant performance. Owens poked a pass forward almost in hope rather than expectation, but Carvill's sharpness allowed him to get there first to fire past Taylor, who must be at a loss to explain some of the defending he's seen in front of him during this first-half.

  6. Breslin makes instant impactpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Cliftonville 1-0 Linfield

Linfield have won their last eight league games - Cliftonville have lost their last four. Bring in Tommy Breslin and hey presto, the Reds are sparkling. Non-stop pressing and fighting for every ball, they are suffocating the Blues. Linfield midfielder Aaron Burns goes in the book for a high challenge in what has been a hugely disappointing first half for the visitors.

  7. goal

GOALpublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Ballinamallard Utd 3-1 Carrick Rangers

Ryan Curran restores the home side's two-goal lead five minutes before the interval.

  8. goal

GOALpublished at 15:38 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Crusaders 3-0 Glenavon

Brilliant finish as Heatley gets his second! The forward does well to pluck a high ball out of the sky, killing it with one touch before poking the ball past Taylor. Five minutes to half-time and Crusaders already look to have wrapped this one up.

  9. goal

GOALpublished at 15:36 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Ballinamallard Utd 2-1 Carrick Rangers

Daniel Kelly pulls one back for Carrick Rangers after 35 minutes.

Aaron Callaghan's side could do with a morale-boosting result ahead of their involvement in the promotion-relegation play-off next month.

  10. Change for Glenavonpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Crusaders 2-0 Glenavon

Gregory Moorhouse has been replaced by James Gray.

Crusaders look settled and dominant now. Sean O'Neill has had very little to do and it's difficult to envisage a Glenavon comeback here. Then again, we're hesitant to predict anything given how many twists and turns this season has served up.

Kyle Cherry puts Ards ahead against Glentoran with a glancing header at the Oval with 29 minutes on the clock.

  13. Waterworth woepublished at 15:28 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Cliftonville 1-0 Linfield

Two minutes after getting booked, Linfield forward Andrew Waterworth squanders the first good chance for the visitors. A cross finds the striker unmarked but he sends his header well wide.

  14. goal

GOALpublished at 15:27 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Crusaders 2-0 Glenavon

Heatley doubles the lead this time! This is exactly what Stephen Baxter would have been demanding from his players as they've really taken the game to Glenavon right from the outset.

Whyte - who has been particularly eye-catching so far - accelerates into the box and finds Heatley with his cross, the forward making no mistake from close-range to give Crusaders that reassuring cushion.

  15. CLOSE!published at 15:27 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Crusaders 1-0 Glenavon

Heatley nearly adds a brilliant second for Crusaders! A blistering counter-attack sees Mitchell and Owens combine effectively to find Heatley darting forward, but his right-footed effort blasts into the side-netting. Glenavon were really sliced open there in the blink of an eye - that's how devastating Crusaders can be.

GOALpublished at 15:25 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Coleraine 1-1 Ballymena Utd

Kofi Balmer marks his Ballymena debut by bringing the sides level in the 22nd minute at Ballycastle Road.

The 16-year-old hammers home from close range after Coleraine fail to clear.

  18. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:25 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Cliftonville 1-0 Linfield

Roy Carroll gets down quickly to turn Stephen Garrett's volley round the post. Linfield are struggling to get a foothold on the game and the Reds are posing the greater threat. Blues striker Andrew Waterworth receives a yellow card - it's not going to plan for David Healy's men.

  19. CLOSE!published at 15:24 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Crusaders 1-0 Glenavon

One-way traffic now as Crusaders pour forward again. Heatley does well down the right and finds Whyte in the centre, who helps it on to Owens, but his first-time curling effort is just over the bar. Owens has already had a few good looks at goal today - the Glenavon defence can't afford to keep giving him the space to shoot or he will punish them eventually.

  20. CLOSE!published at 15:21 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Crusaders 1-0 Glenavon

Not for the first time, Owens peels away from his marker in the box but glances his header wide.

After a fast start to the game which saw both sides show some attacking menace, the tempo has dropped slightly and that will suit Crusaders.
