    Southampton 0-0 Hull

Bit of argy bargy in the box involving Alfred N'Diaye and Jack Stephens.

Mike Dean gives them the headmasterly, withering look and talking to and the corner is coming up...

    Southampton 0-0 Hull

Sam Clucas' deflected cross runs out for a corner, perhaps a last chance for Hull to take the lead before the break.

Just one minute of stoppage time to come.

    Southampton 0-0 Hull

I'm seeing that Leicester and more specifically Jamie Vardy have absolutely ruined the perfectly goalless half of all the 3pm kick-offs.

Ok, so the goal embargo is broken. Either of these sides want to chalk one up before the interval?

    Southampton 0-0 Hull

...Hull take it short before Evandro puts the cross in but it comes to nothing as the hosts eventually win a goal-kick.

  6. Postpublished at 41 mins

    Southampton 0-0 Hull

Kamil Grosicki changes his arm, trying to take a free-kick down the left quickly but Mike Dean is having none of it.

He hadn't got his magic spray out yet!

When Hull do take the free-kick, they find Harry Maguire at the back post to head back across and Saints have to be alive to hack it out for a corner...

    Southampton 0-0 Hull

Risky keeping score update: Fraser Forster 1-2 Eldin Jakupovic.

This time the Hull keeper waits until Manolo Gabbiadini is close enough to jump on for a piggy-back before releasing the pass to Andrea Ranocchia.

    Southampton 0-0 Hull

Lazar Markovic is unhappy with referee Mike Dean not awarding a foul for a challenge by Ryan Bertrand.

So much so that Markovic starts tugging on Dean's shirt to emphasise his point. Dean does not like that. Careful Lazar.

David Ljunggren: Very thoughtful of Southampton and Hull to let the fans enjoy an afternoon snooze untroubled by exciting football.

    Southampton 0-0 Hull

Ahmed Elmohamady is the latest Hull player to curl in a nice-looking cross from the right.

Kamil Grosicki is the latest Hull player to not quite reach said nice-looking cross.

Any chance of a goal before the break?

    Southampton 0-0 Hull

It's a bright day on the south coast and the sun appears to have just blinded Eldin Jakupovic as he slices his clearance wildly out of touch.

Could be just a poor clearance too though.

Saints again working down the right flank and another promising ball towards Manolo Gabbiadini is clutched by Jakupovic.

Now it's Eldin Jakupovic's turn to flirt with danger but the Hull keeper does well in the end to keep a nervy back-pass away from the reaches of the onrushing Nathan Redmond.

    Southampton 0-0 Hull

Clucas - Evandro - Grosicki - Robertson...ah, a fine sweeping Hull move is wasted as the visitors lose the ball to hand Southampton a goal-kick when well placed.

Shame. Plenty of nice stuff from Hull but no final killer ball yet.

    Southampton 0-0 Hull

Maybe Lazar Markovic can provide that missing precision as the Liverpool loanee skips away from his man with a deft touch and tries to set up Oumar Niasse but Southampton rally and finally manage to repel the danger.

    Southampton 0-0 Hull

Good run from Andrew Robertson as the left-back surges towards the Saints area but his pass is over-hit and aimless.

The game as a whole is lacking that little bit of precision.

  16. Postpublished at 26 mins

    Southampton 0-0 Hull

Oooh, delightful, curving delivery from Alfred N'Diaye, trying to pick up the run of Oumar Niasse but the ball curls just too far ahead of the striker's outstretched foot.

    Southampton 0-0 Hull

Lovely stuff from Dusan Tadic and Steven Davis, exchanging passes down the right, playing in Ryan Bertrand, whose cut-back is intercepted in the nick of time by Alfred N'Diaye and away from the lurking Saints attackers.

Brightest Southampton have looked so far.

    Southampton 0-0 Hull

No goals in any of the 3pm kick-offs so far...

...hang on, is this Manolo Gabbiadini free on goal?

Yes, but the Italian striker is offside.

    Goalless service resumes.

    Southampton 0-0 Hull

Looks like the Saints right-back took a blow to the mouth and is having it looked at by the physios.

No Alexis Sanchez-style theatrics from Cedric though and we're back under way...

    Southampton 0-0 Hull

Sam Clucas takes a whack and Hull have another free-kick in a promising position...

But Andrew Robertson's left-footed effort is poor and easily cleared by Saints.

Cedric looks in a spot of bother here...
