It's a bright day on the south coast and the sun appears to have just blinded Eldin Jakupovic as he slices his clearance wildly out of touch.

Could be just a poor clearance too though.

Now it's Eldin Jakupovic's turn to flirt with danger but the Hull keeper does well in the end to keep a nervy back-pass away from the reaches of the onrushing Nathan Redmond.

Clucas - Evandro - Grosicki - Robertson...ah, a fine sweeping Hull move is wasted as the visitors lose the ball to hand Southampton a goal-kick when well placed.

Shame. Plenty of nice stuff from Hull but no final killer ball yet.

Maybe Lazar Markovic can provide that missing precision as the Liverpool loanee skips away from his man with a deft touch and tries to set up Oumar Niasse but Southampton rally and finally manage to repel the danger.

Good run from Andrew Robertson as the left-back surges towards the Saints area but his pass is over-hit and aimless.

The game as a whole is lacking that little bit of precision.

Oooh, delightful, curving delivery from Alfred N'Diaye, trying to pick up the run of Oumar Niasse but the ball curls just too far ahead of the striker's outstretched foot.
