    England 1-0 Austria

That's your lot for the first half. An offside call against England just before the break as Ellen White looked to get in.

The hosts will be happy to be ahead. Unhappy it's not by more than one though.

    England 1-0 Austria

Just the one minute of added time to play.

Lucy Bronze makes a good run but over-hits her pass towards club team-mate Toni Duggan and Austria clear.

    England 1-0 Austria

Lucy Bronze and Lisa Makas have a coming together that leaves the Man City right-back on her back and yelling at the referee.

Nothing much in it though. Half-time approaches...

    England 1-0 Austria

England really need another goal - they keep letting Austria in at the back and could find themselves level in a game they've otherwise dominated.

This time Siobhan Chamberlain's ballooned clearance isn't dealt with and Sarah Zadrazil gains possession just outside the area once again.

Once again, though, her shot is wide. The danger for England is the Austrian attacker is getting plenty of sighters.

    England 1-0 Austria

The hosts keep the pressure up though as Lucy Bronze fires in a decent cross that Izzy Christiansen can't quite get to as Austria rally.

  6. Postpublished at 38 mins

    England 1-0 Austria

Nasty one for Toni Duggan as she's caught on the top of the foot by Nadine Prohaska, giving Jordan Nobbs a good chance to deliver.

Her free-kick is too deep though and Austria are able to head clear.

  7. CLOSE!published at 36 mins

    England 1-0 Austria

Sloppy again from England as Jade Moore gives the ball away inside her own half, Sarah Zadrazil picking it up and driving towards goal, only for her shot to drift wide.

  8. Postpublished at 34 mins

    England 1-0 Austria

Bit sloppy from England in defence now to allow Austria in.

The visitors keep the pressure on and work it right to Nadine Prohaska, who flashes her shot high and wide of Siobhan Chamberlain's goal.

A better strike and that could've been 1-1 though.

  9. GREAT SAVE!published at 31 mins

    England 1-0 Austria

Great feet from Jordan Nobbs to leave her marker as she cuts back onto her left, flicking a cross towards Toni Duggan.

The Man City winger doesn't get there but it ricochets off Nadine Prohaska, only for Manuela Zinsberger to pull off a fantastic finger-tip save to prod the ball wide and just about away from the lurking England attackers.

    England 1-0 Austria

Euro 2017 is the first major tournament that Austria have qualified for and look to be a well-drilled side that should prove hard to beat.

That is, until they have a bit of a wobble in defence as Virginia Kirchberger and keeper Manuela Zingsberger fail to communicate and are forced to clear in a panic.

    England 1-0 Austria

England seem to be looking to Jordan Nobbs for that required creativity but so far the Arsenal midfielder has largely been well closed down by the Austrian defence.

After the perfect start for the hosts, things have gone a little flat in Milton Keynes.

England are controlling possession and probing, looking for ways through this well-organised Austrian defence.

They're up against two well-drilled lines of four and it'll take some creativity to get in behind and extend the lead.

  13. Postpublished at 26 mins

    England 1-0 Austria

While the hosts remain solid defence, they have scored just six goals in their last nine games and will be looking to improve on that at this summer's Euros.

But Austria continue to frustrate as both sides resort to a bit of head tennis in midfield.

  14. Postpublished at 24 mins

    England 1-0 Austria

A slightly under-hit back pass from Demi Stokes has Austria interested but Siobhan Chamberlain mops up.

Stokes makes amends moments later, beating her marker down the left to curve in a good cross. Austria deal with the first ball and just about hack it clear when Lucy Bronze floats another delivery in.

  15. Postpublished at 21 mins

    England 1-0 Austria

England have started to finally enjoy most of the possession in the last few minutes and are increasingly comfortable knocking around one-touch passes to try and open up the visitors.

Austria remain organised in defence though as Toni Duggan fouls Sarah Zadrazil trying to break into the area.

  16. Postpublished at 18 mins

    England 1-0 Austria

Nice ball down the line from Lucy Bronze that releases Ellen White on the right flank, but the Birmingham City striker resorts to pushing Viktoria Schnaderbeck to get free and is penalised.

Zinsberger is forced to tip Jordan Nobbs' whipped cross away with Izzy Christiansen lurking.

England look dangerous when they get the ball wide early on and into the area.

  18. Postpublished at 10 mins

    England 1-0 Austria

Austria getting to see plenty of the ball in midfield but don't yet look like troubling the defensive duo of Steph Houghton and Laura Bassett, who is easily able to repel the visitors' latest attack.

Both back in the side - both playing a part in the goal.

The returning Christiansen and White combine superbly to give England the early goal they wanted.

That's White's 21st goal for England and a very deft finish.
