The corner will need to be retaken as Ryan Bertrand and Diego Costa literally wrestled in the box.
Cesc Fabregas plays a ball over the top and Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso thinks it's a time for a flying volley. It was not. The Blues win a corner though.
Chelsea cut Southampton's defence apart for the first time in about 20 minutes and Eden Hazard has a chance to curl home a second. Instead he tries to find Diego Costa but his pass is cut out. A waste.
The Saints have a free-kick is a good position but James Ward-Prowse's attempt hits the wall and goes over. The corner comes in and Sofiane Boufal lashes it into the side-netting.
Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante catches James Ward-Prowse with a late tackle. The referee lets play go and comes back to book the midfielder afterwards.
Southampton already break at speed but Blues defender Cesar Azpilicueta is able to cut out the threat. Almost spaces at the back there for the Saints to exploit.

Chelsea haven't kept a clean sheet since I drafted Cahill into my fantasy team - apologies all Chelsea supporters.
Duncan. - a very happy Newcastle fan.

Chelsea have had a good little spell - moving the ball quickly. But Southampton defended equally well.
N'Golo Kante goes on a brilliant dribble, which is blocked. Marcos Alonso puts in a cross, blocked. Diego Costa goes down under pressure from Steven Davis and wants a penalty. He doesn't get one, it would have been weak.
Nemanja Matic has a shot from 20 yards, which is saved by Fraser Forster. It's all go at Stamford Bridge.
Wolves 0-1 Huddersfield
Huddersfield can secure a place in the Championship play-offs with a win tonight - and they are off to the perfect start.
Izzy Brown - one of the 756 players out on loan from Chelsea - has scored. You can follow all the latest from Molineux here.
Southampton are causing Chelsea problems and Sofiane Boufal wins a free-kick, which Thibaut Courtois does well to punch clear under pressure.
Southampton are spraying the ball round well at the moment. You wouldn't think they don't really have anything to play for.

Enjoying live text of the game but really want to know the answer to that snooker question now please. Cheers.
Andy. Ipswich
You're in the wrong place then, I'm afraid, Andy. I won't know the answer unless it's Ronnie O'Sullivan. Or snooker.

BBC Sport chief football writer at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea have had a few moments of sloppy defending and they have paid a heavy price there as Oriel Romeu was free to score from close range.
Now it is getting interesting. Stamford Bridge stunned by that.
Dave Merrington
Former Southampton manager on BBC Radio Solent
Excellent goal. Chelsea did not defend that well. Gabbiadini cut the ball back and Romeu tucked it away. Southampton were coming into the game - it was good play by them.

Vieira 151: Not sure who was meant to be marking him, but Gabbiadini seems to have a wonderful ability to find the spaces in the box
Love of Football: Chelsea can't buy a clean sheet these days! Time to sell up in fantasy league
Princewill Nwosu: how is Southampton not in the top six? The lads can really knock d ball around.
Southampton aren't sitting back on their leveller and they have a free-kick which Steven Davis plays past everyone and out for a goal-kick.
Chelsea were looking comfortable but now Southampton are level. Manolo Gabbiadini's shot is saved by Thibaut Courtois and Oriol Romeu - a former Chelsea midfielder - scores his first goal in over a year from about four yards into an empty net.
A big goal for him - and a big goal for Spurs.
Oriol Romeu
Oh hello.
