    Swindon 0-1 Scunthorpe

They couldn't be off to a worse start, as Murray Wallace heads Scunthorpe in front at the County Ground from very close range.

Bury meanwhile have had the perfect start, James Vaughan putting them 1-0 up against Northampton.

Elsewhere, sixth-placed Millwall have it all to do against Oxford United, as Conor McAleny has scored twice to give the U's a 2-0 lead.

There will be a mix of minute's applauses and silences around a number of grounds to remember a popular figure within the football community.

    Championship run-in

    Championship play-off race

Reading and Huddersfield are almost shoe-ins for a top-six spot, so it looks like a three-horse race for the final two places.

Fulham arguably have the hardest run-in, facing away trips to Huddersfield today and Sheffield Wednesday on the final day, but they're playing some fine football at the moment.

Leeds have slipped off the pace recently, but will hope to get back to winning ways against lowly Burton this afternoon.

The Owls have a tough home game against Derby, although the Rams' players might already be on the beach with nothing left to play for.

  11. Who else can be relegated today?published at 14:51 British Summer Time 22 April 2017

    Leyton OrientImage source, Rex Features

In short, Swindon from League One and Leyton Orient from League Two.

Orient need to win at Crewe to stand any chance of staying in the EFL, but they will be relegated no matter what happens if Hartlepool beat Barnet at home.

Swindon will go down if Bury better their result against Scunthorpe. The Shakers play Northampton.

    Wolves v Blackburn (15:00 BST)

Even with all the pressure of a Championship relegation battle on his shoulders, Blackburn boss Tony Mowbray found some time to sign something for this young Rovers fan.

Defeat for his side at Molineux today could all but seal their fate.

    Championship relegation

It's the million-dollar question. Wigan could go straight back down to League One today if they lose at home to Cardiff and Nottingham Forest beat Reading.

As for the third team to be relegated - it really is a flip of the coin.

Rotherham fans, don't worry, we haven't forgotten you at the bottom, but our tables can only show six teams!

  16. Bolton on the vergepublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 22 April 2017

Port Vale v Bolton (15:00 BST)

    Phil ParkinsonImage source, Rex Features

Bolton's League One promotion charge has stuttered in recent weeks, winning one of their last five, but Phil Parkinson's side can clinch an immediate return to the Championship today.

If they win at Port Vale and Fleetwood don't beat Gillingham, they're up.

It looks like just one more play-off spot is up for grabs with Millwall and Southend the front-runners.

The Shrimpers travel to lowly Shrewsbury and Millwall host Oxford.

    Griffin ParkImage source, Rex Features

There's a proper West Lahnnndan square-off as Brentford welcome QPR to Griffin Park. Should be a decent game that.

Third-place Reading haven't given up on an automatic promotion place, they welcome strugglers Nottingham Forest to the Madejski Stadium. Their result can have knock-on effects for teams at the top and bottom.

Namely Blackburn Rovers, who are a place and a point below Forest, in the relegation zone. They go to Wolverhampton Wanderers this afternoon. Bristol City will have an eye on both those games, they host Barnsley.

Sheffield Wednesday can take a step closer to a play-off spot with victory against Derby County while completing the Saturday fixtures, already relegated Rotherham United take on Ipswich Town.

    Burton v Leeds (15:00 BST)

Leeds v Burton earlier in the seasonImage source, Rex Features

The last thing any promoted team wants is to be patronised with a 'brave failures' tag, going straight back down after a battling year in the higher division.

Credit then to Burton that they're currently keeping their heads above water. Nigel Clough's side are only four points above the drop zone though, and a win with results going their way might seal safety today.

They'll have it all to do with Leeds United though, desperate for a play-off spot after a much-improved season under Garry Monk. They are level on points with Fulham, who are sixth on goal difference.

With their huge support comes pressure to perform. Can they cope with it?

  19. A proper 'six-pointer'published at 14:28 British Summer Time 22 April 2017

    Huddersfield v Fulham (15:00 BST)

Fulham v Huddersfield in the corresponding gameImage source, Rex Features

These are the sort of games that the fixture computer innocently throws up in July, that just bristle with significance come business time.

David Wagner's fourth-placed Huddersfield can still pip Newcastle for an automatic promotion spot while Fulham, under Slavisa Jokanovic, have Leeds sniffing the last play-off spot that they occupy.

Only five points separate the two, a win for either would create some valuable breathing space. Neither wants a draw really. Could be a tense afternoon at the John Smith's Stadium.

  20. Wigan boss Barrow ready for 'toughest game'published at 14:25 British Summer Time 22 April 2017

    Wigan v Cardiff (15:00 BST)

    Graham BarrowImage source, Rex Features

Interim boss Graham Barrow suffered no fools as an uncompromising midfielder while a Wigan player, and his straight-talking, no-nonsense approach will be needed if the Latics are to pull clear of danger.

He says today's visit of Cardiff City is the "toughest game" of his spell in charge, and added that his side must win all of their final three games to stay up - they're five points adrift in the drop zone.

Cardiff are safely ensconced in mid-table, but with someone as passionate as Neil Warnock in charge, you'd expect them to come out fighting regardless.

    One to watch this afternoon.
