John Nixon: What a ridiculous yellow card! This ref has the cup final!

Wayne Andrews: Walker very lucky not to be shown a red there

Ah, the differing views of football fans. It's fair to say referees don't have it easy.

West Ham midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate heads the ball straight at Hugo Lloris from about 14 yards out. It's been a decent start for the Hammers, who would be mathematically safe with a win. Although they're seven points clear so in no real danger anyway.

This is where I think referees are getting it wrong. When the ball is going into a 50-50, you have to go in with force and power.

Kyle Walker is not going in to hurt Manuel Lanzini. He's gone in with his instep and with force and won the ball. Lanzini has just come off worse.

Why that's a yellow I don't know. If Lanzini goes in stronger he gets a yellow card.

Spurs defender Kyle Walker marks his return to the team with a yellow card for standing on Manuel Lanzini's foot after winning the ball. A bit harsh maybe.

Spurs do well to get the ball out for a corner with Sam Byram ready to head home a left-wing cross for the Hammers.

West Ham are doing well in central areas. You can tell they have been working on closing down Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Son Heung-min. They're pressing very well.

Chants from Spurs fans of 'there's only one Aaron Lennon', the former Tottenham winger, now at Everton, who was detained under the Mental Health Act by police during the week over concerns for his welfare.

Eamonn McGurk: Ah well, at least us Gooners can enjoy a sunny Friday eve safe in the knowledge we can't screw up a title shot!

Let me guess - you've got a glass half-full, rather than half-empty, of beer right now?

That's the wrong option from Manuel Lanzini. He has got to try and square that to his striker Jonathan Calleri. Trying to score from there on your left foot is optimistic.

West Ham's first chance as Andre Ayew plays in Manuel Lanzini - in space - with an excellent through-ball but the Argentine optimistically shoots from an angle and drags it across the goal.

Eric Dier puts in a cruncher on Cheikhou Kouyate but won the ball so no free-kick. Harry Kane, who loves a London derby, then fires well wide from distance.

Bright start by Spurs, with Kyle Walker - on his return to the team - involved, but James Collins clears the ball off Christian Eriksen for a Hammers throw-in.

Mark Adamson: The Leeds team under O'Leary played some amazing football for a couple of years. Before of all went terribly terribly wrong.

Will Jones: Without a doubt the Dutch side of 1970, no question.

Dan Pinch III: more recently, the Liverpool team from 2013-14 season, loads of goals, brilliant to watch, no silverware for the effort..

Spurs had about six players ready to charge onto the Hammers half from kick-off there but ended up with the ball back with their defenders. Unusual.

West Ham's struggles fall back on the move to this stadium. At Upton Park it was the fans, atmosphere and stadium that got them results a lot of the time.

The loss of Dimitri Payet, the injuries have not been great, and they have struggled at the back.

But this ground is one a lot of opposing players fancy playing at and West Ham struggle to deal with it.

  20. 'A lesser manager might have taken West Ham down'published at 19:54 British Summer Time 5 May 2017

West Ham v Tottenham (20:00 BST)

Jason Burt, Daily Telegraph's chief football correspondent, on BBC Radio 5 live: "I think Slaven Bilic should stay as West Ham manager. He has done well here.

"The owners want the club to be vying for European football, not scrapping about near relegation. It may be unrealistic but that is the ambition and they want it quickly. But there are so many mitigating circumstances this season and I think Bilic has held it together well. I think a lesser manager may have taken them down."
