Oh, McBurnie almost makes an immediate impact. He dinks a ball through to Sigurdsson in the box but his attempted back-heel return is blocked, otherwise the young forward would have had a clear sight of goal.

Have Tottenham run out of ideas? Christian Eriksen fires a shot from distance way, way over the bar.

Cue Swansea's second change as Jordan Ayew is replaced by Oliver McBurnie.

Kyle Naughton is down receiving treatment and also giving Swansea some respite. Paul Clement opts to make a change, sending on Ki Sung-yueng for the defender. Looks like Leroy Fer will fill in at right-back.

Tottenham have gone to a back three. Dier has slotted in, making Walker and Davies wing-backs. Can the switch buy them a goal?

    Swansea 1-0 Tottenham

It is a wall of white on the edge of the Swansea box. Tottenham can't find a way through. Son shoots but the venom is taken off by a deflection that makes the save easy for Fabianski.

    Swansea 1-0 Tottenham

This game is laying bare just how much Tottenham miss Harry Kane. Saying that, even he would have had to produce something special to convert the service Spurs are supplying this evening.

    Swansea 1-0 Tottenham

Swansea have managed this second half superbly so far. Their defence has repelled everything Tottenham have thrown at them. Son tries to dart into space in the box to find a shot but he is tackled superbly by Fernandez.

There's a great noise inside the Liberty Stadium, with the home fans roaring every tackle, block and interception from a Swansea player.

The hosts are even daring to attack too, with Kyle Naughton almost becoming the second former Spurs player to score against his ex-employers as his shot fizzes wide.

Worth a go, but Eric Dier's execution is poor as he sticks his laces through the ball and fires wide from range.

30 minutes to go. 30 massive minutes. For both sides. Vincent Janssen is going to be coming on for Spurs.

Oh, so close! Kyle Naughton charges away down the right before cutting inside and firing a shot that flicks off Ben Davies and flies just past the far post.

From the resulting corner, Leroy Fer is penalised for a foul as he headed over from under the crossbar.

    Swansea 1-0 Tottenham

The pattern of the second half has slotted straight into that of the first - Tottenham camped out in the Swansea half but struggling to break down the home side, who are waiting for that one meaningful counter-attack.

    Swansea 1-0 Tottenham

Tottenham's turn to scream for a penalty. Their case is about as strong as Swansea's was. Ben Davies' headed cross is hit towards goal by Son Heung-Min and blocked by Federico Fernandez. It is off his arm, but it was down by his side and he was stood about two yards away from Son.

Big shouts for a penalty from the home fans. Jordan Ayew tumbles in the box after receiving the ball with his back to goal. The referee's arm waving action makes it very clear he wants play to continue.

After the elation of cutting Chelsea's lead at the top of the table to seven points on Saturday, Spurs are in danger of allowing that gap to grow back up to 10.

While they dominate to no avail against Swansea, Chelsea have regained the lead against Manchester City and are sitting pretty at the summit of the Premier League.

    Swansea 1-0 Tottenham

At the moment, everything is coming up Chelsea. They are beating Man City and Tottenham and Liverpool are losing.

Meanwhile, at the other end of the table, Swansea's lead is keeping them above Hull, who are beating Middlesbrough.

Plenty of possession but losing. Tottenham need to start turning that 75% into something meaningful.

    Swansea 1-0 Tottenham

A great first half for Swansea, who took the lead through Wayne Routledge and dug in to preserve it after.

Tottenham, on the other hand, have huffed and puffed but failed to find the creativity to blow a well-manned home house down.

  20. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Swansea 1-0 Tottenham

Again, Tottenham try to set up a chance for Son, but Dele Alli's chipped ball from outside the box is too heavy and allows Fabianski to collect.
