  11. 'European stage' helped Aberdeenpublished at 11:34

    Hibernian v Aberdeen (12:15)

Derek McInnes is urging Aberdeen to use the pain of losing the League Cup final to their advantage when they meet Hibernian in Saturday's Scottish Cup semi-final.

The Dons lost 3-0 to Celtic at Hampden in November and McInnes said: "I think you can use any disappointment.

"You have got to get as much experience as possible to deal with occasions.

"We have had a lot of big-game experience in recent years. I think the European stage has helped us."

  12. Lennon relishes Hampden tiltpublished at 11:32 British Summer Time 22 April 2017

    Hibernian v Aberdeen (12:15)

Hibs boss Neil Lennon says a last-four Scottish Cup encounter against Aberdeen holds "no fear" for his players.

Championship-winners Hibs ended a 114-year wait to win the competition last May at Hampden.

"We've seen off Hearts already - who are a top-six team - in impressive fashion," Lennon told BBC Scotland.

"Aberdeen have been the second-best team in the country consistently over the last few years, and they keep improving every year under [manager] Derek McInnes.

"They've been to the League Cup final already, they're in the semi-final, they've had a great season. But you've got four teams in the competition who can win the trophy and I'm just pleased we're in that company now.

"Midfield's going to be a huge factor in the game, and their wide men are a real threat, but we'll come up with something.

"I can't concentrate too much on Aberdeen, I want to concentrate on what we do. We've gone into every game this year trying to win it, and [today] will be no different."

  13. One change for the Donspublished at 11:31

    Hibernian v Aberdeen (12:15)

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes makes one change for cup semi-final day.

Experienced centre-back Mark Reynolds takes his place at the heart of defence, with Anthony O'Connor dropping to the bench. Niall McGinn has to settle for a spot among the subs as well, with Ryan Christie starting.
