Wycome have had the best of this match so far, and should be ahead after that open goal miss by Scott Kashket.

The atmosphere in the ground is superb, and Cambridge know that if they find a goal from somewhere they will be in the play-off places.

Gerry McDonagh had a great chance for the U's, but fired straight at Jamal Blackman.

    Newport 1-0 Notts County

Lenell John-Lewis flashes an overhead kick just over the bar for the hosts.

A second goal would give them real breathing space.

    Play-off race

Stevenage are the side who currently look most likely to ruin the Colchester party and knock the U's out of the play-off spots.

Stevenage are drawing 0-0 with Accrington but one goal would see them in the top seven.

And there's hope for the chasing pack that Blackpool are not safe yet too. They were coasting at 2-0 ahead against Leyton Orient. But it's 2-1 now thanks to Jens Janse's goal for the O's.

    Hartlepool 0-1 Doncaster

James Coppinger's corner is headed over by Joe Wright.

A second Doncaster goal really would spell curtains for Hartlepool's now diminishing survival hopes.

If things stay as they are then Darren Ferguson will be a league champion for the first time in his managerial career.

However, should Plymouth turn their game around at Grimsby then they will be celebrating title success instead.

    HT: Play-off round-up

    Play-off snip

Phew. Carlisle and Blackpool started the day in the play-off places.

But the Cumbrians are in serious danger of missing out as they slipped 2-1 behind against Exeter on the stroke of half-time.

It's advantage Blackpool and Colchester as things stand.

Blackpool look dead certs thanks to a 2-0 lead over Leyton Orient, while the U's are 1-0 up against Yeovil Town.

Stevenage, Mansfield and Carlisle are all on 68 points, a point below the top seven.

Mickey Demetriou's penalty looks likely to be enough to keep the Exiles in the EFL.

It's been pretty scrappy at Rodney Parade but they will not care one bit.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:18 British Summer Time 6 May 2017

    Hartlepool 0-1 Doncaster

As it stands, Hartlepool are going down and Doncaster will be celebrating the title tonight.

Andy Williams' close range finish is the difference between the two teams at the break.

Hartlepool need two goals and for Notts County to fight back at Newport.

    Play-off race

One of the two available play-off spots appears to be resolved.

Mark Cullen's low strike from the edge of the box puts Blackpool 2-0 up against Leyton Orient.

And given the season the Londoners have had, they are highly unlikely to come back.

Mickey Demetriou celebratesImage source, Rex Features

It was such a calm penalty from this man to give Newport their precious lead.

Mickey Demetriou slotted his effort high to Adam Collin's right.

The keeper went the right way but didn't get near it.

    Hartlepool 0-1 Doncaster

Doncaster goalkeeper Ian Lawlor comes racing off his line to thwart a Hartlepool through ball and cleans out Pools player Rhys Oates with it.

With the keeper miles of his line Padraig Amond can not find a way past him from 25 yards.

Oates needs some treatment but he's ok to continue.

  18. Colchester on the chargepublished at 18:10 British Summer Time 6 May 2017

    Play-off race

And it all changes again. A low, fizzing 25-yard strike from Tarique Fosu-Henry and Colchester go into the top seven.

Carlisle were back in the top seven for matter of a couple of minutes.

The play-off picture will change again. Rest assured. There's a long, long way to go.

  19. Postpublished at 18:10 British Summer Time 6 May 2017

    Hartlepool 0-1 Doncaster

With just over five minutes until the break you feel like Pools have got to get back on terms before the interval.

As it stands they're five points behind Newport.
