    Stoke 0-0 Arsenal

At the other end, Xherdan Shaqiri tries to curl the ball with his left foot towards goal, but it's deflected out for a corner.

Marko Arnautovic takes it, and Joe Allen looks like he's going to try a bicycle kick, but Arsenal's defence get in the way.

Glen Johnson then hits a really weak effort goalwards and it trickles past Petr Cech's post.

Sanchez sends his snapshot into the side netting. Try saying that in a hurry.

He's up to 49 league goals for Arsenal. Can he get his half ton today? He's certainly looking lively.

Liverpool should have kept Joe Allen, especially with all their injury problems now.

He's been important for Stoke today.

Joe Allen springs into the box from the left but Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny clears the danger with force.

Allen doesn't look as much like Andrea Pirlo anymore, now that he's got rid of the beard. Shame.

It's always difficult for a keeper when those free-kicks are dead central because the taker can go either way.

You always have an idea where they will put it but that can be dangerous.

Petr Cech hedged his bets by staying central and it went over.

The free-kick is curled in by Marko Arnautovic but it goes just over the target.

    Stoke 0-0 Arsenal

Monreal is causing grief up the wing again, and Alexis Sanchez forces Jack Butland into a relatively easy save.

He quickly throws the ball out and Stoke counter! This is the most exciting bit of play from the hosts so far.

Xherdan Shaqiri gets his little legs going and is clumsily brought down by Mustafi. Stoke free-kick about 25 yards out. Yellow card for Mustafi.

    Stoke 0-0 Arsenal

Arsenal winger Nacho Monreal is on the prowl again, in the same area he's been lurking for both his chances so far.

Stoke are very much under the cosh here.

    Stoke 0-0 Arsenal

The line of engagement for Stoke is far too deep and they're conceding way too much ground, asking Arsenal, "can you play your way in?"

Well if anyone can play their way in, it's Arsenal. They should be in front.

    Nacho Monreal off the post!

His header bashes against the woodwork and back out again after another wonderful ball in, this time from Hector Bellerin.

    Stoke 0-0 Arsenal

Stoke make some headway up the left, with Marko Arnautovic and Erik Pieters combining well.

The ball is sent into the box and it's blocked by Rob Holding. Faint calls for handball, but it looked like a body block.

Another Arsenal match, another plane banner flown over. This time the message reads "Wenger - out means out!"

How much do those things cost?! I'm going to have a Google while there's nothing going on on the pitch...

For a minute, no one wants to keep the ball. Loose passes all over the place. What a mess.

Eventually, Mesut Ozil picks out a wonderful pass for an on-rushing Nacho Monreal, but his legs run away with him and the ball rolls out for a goal kick.

Another Mesut Ozil corner is sent in and Shkodran Mustafi heads towards goal. Jack Butland is there to tip his effort over the bar. The Stoke keeper really had to stretch for that.

Four minutes gone - first Arsenal chance.

Shkodran Mustafi, from about 40 yards out, lofts a brilliant ball to Alexis Sanchez.

The Chilean chests down in the box but goalkeeper Jack Butland gets his big body in the way.

The flag was up against Sanchez, but Butland wasn't aware of that.

    Stoke 0-0 Arsenal

Stoke, in their traditional candy-stripe red and white, are crowded out on the left flank and Arsenal start knocking the ball around with pace in the midfield.

The hosts struggle to get a touch until Mame Biram Diouf intercepts and makes a run for it.

He's stopped in his tracks by the Arsenal defence, who scramble and clear.
