I tell you what, Ashley Williams is a lucky boy. A trip on Danny Welbeck after already being booked. After a conflab involving pretty much every player on the field, Michael Oliver keeps his cards in his pocket.

    Meanwhile...

Gabriel is being carried off. It was a poor challenge, in truth, Gabriel wrapping his legs around Enner Valencia, but coming off worse. Per Mertesacker is on.

    Philippe Coutinho

And the collective frown is finally turning around at Anfield.

Philippe Coutinho lines up his effort and sends a low skidding effort round the wall and inside Brad Guzan's far post.

The keeper was unsighted, but down slowly anyway.

    The whole atmosphere has lifted.

Atmosphere inside Emirates Stadium is a little subdued now - suspect the news from Anfield has dampened any hopes that relegated Middlesbrough might pull off a shock at Anfield.

Could have been three! Danny Welbeck denied by Joel Robles, Mesut Ozil then denied on the rebound by the Everton keeper. Alexis Sanchez was pulling the strings. The man is a puppeteer.

Koscielny will regret that for the rest of his career, he will now miss the FA Cup final. Wenger's got other replacements but nobody as good as Koscielny.

It happens, you can't do anything about it now. It was stupid but he isn't that type of player.

    Gini Wijnaldum (45 mins)

    Relief rips around Anfield.

Gini Wijnaldum bursts into the box, takes a touch to steady himself and then lets rip with an absolute blockbuster.

It flashes past Brad Guzan and inside his near post before the Boro keeper has time to flinch.

Jurgen Klopp is bent double with relief, clenching both fists and every facial muscle he has.

Koeman has put Barkley on and it has opened up even further and Arsenal are doing really well going forward. If they were to score though, Everton, to help their Merseyside rivals, it will get very hairy at the Emirates.

As half-time approaches, it's still Arsenal that look the more likely. In the Emirates sunshine, it's open, with Hector Bellerin covering miles on the Arsenal right.

It feels like most eyes are on Anfield, where it remains goalless.

    Fernandinho

If Walter Mazzarri hadn't already been sacked then he would have been fired at half-time. This is a shambles.

But...City have been majestic. Fernandinho wriggles through some weak challenges in the home penalty area, keeping his balance - and his head - to fire in low from six yards.

City have decided to leave the final-day drama to Liverpool and Arsenal.
