    Paul Pogba

    A quick-fire double for United.

It is terrible, terrible defending from Palace defender Joel Ward, who slides to try and clear Jesse Lignard's through ball into the box, but mis-cues.

It allows Paul Pogba the easiest of finishes, stroking a left-footed finish into the back of the net from eight yards out.

    Josh Harrop

    Ohhh, what a memorable debut!

    Josh Harrop, remember the name.

The youngster is picked out down the left flank by Paul Pogba and he has it all to do.

Harrop makes his way into the box and turns Palace defender Martin Kelly inside out, moving the ball onto his right foot before unleashing a fierce strike into the far corner of the net.

    A superb strike.

It brings manager Jose Mourinho off his feet, the Portuguese enjoyed that one.

United striker Andreas Pereira is an interested spectator in the Old Trafford directors' box this afternoon.

Pereira has just spent a season on loan in La Liga with Granada, scoring on his final apperance against Espanyol on Friday.

Pereira, along with Adnan Januzaj and Guillermo Varela are all now to discover whether, having played the entire season away from United, manager Jose Mourinho has any future of them next term.

    Man Utd 0-0 Crystal Palace

This was almost vintage Wayne Rooney.

The Manchester United skipper collects Demetri Mitchell's long searching ball over the top superbly.

Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey is in no-man's land and Rooney goes for the lob from the angle, but gets too much purchase on it and it lands on the roof of the net.

Chants of "Rooney, Rooney" rings around Old Trafford on potentially his last appearance in a red shirt at the venue.

    Man Utd 0-0 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have never beaten Manchester United in the Premier League.

They will not have a better opportunity to change that than today.

I have gone for a 1-0 win for Sam Allardyce's side. Let's see how it pans out.

    Man Utd 0-0 Crystal Palace

Josh Harrop looks a tidy player and is causing Palace some problems with his pace and close control down the left.

Midfield enforncer Luka Milivojevic has to come across and take the United youngster out with a no-nonsense challenge.

Referee Anthony Taylor strides over and has a word.

  7. CLOSE!published at 3 mins

    Man Utd 0-0 Crystal Palace

Palace break clear and some neat football sees them in on goal.

It's full-back Patrick van Aanholt who is six yards out and about to pull the trigger, but Timothy Fosu-Mensah gets back in the nick of time with a perfectly-timed sliding tackle.

  8. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Man Utd 0-0 Crystal Palace

Nice start by debutant Josh Harrop with a gallop down the left flank to earn a corner.

He takes it himself but Palace clear.

  9. KICK-OFFpublished at 1 min

Last game of the Premier League season is under way.

So it's the game Jose Mourinho didn't want, on the day he didn't want; the week ahead will determine if it turns out to be the season he didn't want, with events in Stockholm on Wednesday determining whether he has restored the Champions League nights for Manchester United.

Before that, some of his players will get important minutes ahead of the Europa League final and some will get their first experience of the Premier League.

Crystal Palace are just delighted that they aren't heading to Old Trafford full of nerves and in need of some sort of result to secure their top-flight status.

They will be determined that in 12 months time, after a full season under Sam Allardyce, they will be higher up the table.

    BBC Sport

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has had another go at the critics who have made light of his side's injury problems in his programme notes.

Former Liverpool boss Graeme Souness is thought to be the man in the firing line for claiming on Wednesday that United's squad is strong enough to cope with fitness problems.

"I have seen it in the football media that certain pundits cannot understand why our players are tired," he said.

"A pundit is not honest if they cannot forget their colours or if they try to hide the truth from their audience. It's not my fault if their managerial career was very poor."
