We're going to leave you there for the night. Check out our Real Madrid match report here.

Thanks for joining us tonight. The Barcelona game was certainly dramatic but because Real led from the second minute there was never really any title peril.

Until next season. No wait, there's still a load of cup finals to come.

Europa League on Wednesday, Spanish, German and French cup finals on Saturday, Champions League final the next week. Delicious.

    Barcelona 4-2 Eibar

Disappointment for the Barca faithful, who wave their flags in the air and hold up their scarves as they salute their players' efforts.

They came from behind to beat Eibar, but it is Real Madrid who claim the Spanish title.

  7. goal

GOAL - Barcelona 4-2 Eibarpublished at 20:46 British Summer Time 21 May 2017

    Lionel Messi

We know it doesn't matter, they know it doesn't matter, he knows it doesn't matter.

Still the crowd roars his name. Meeesssiiii. How fitting it is that Lionel Messi has the final say here, finishing low past the dogged Yoel Rodriguez to polish off a jinking run through the heart of Eibar's defence.

But the party has begun in Madrid...

Into the final minute, with the game long gone, and Malaga have their best chance. Chory Castro's shot is saved onto the crossbar by Keylor Navas.

    Two minutes are added on.

    Barcelona 3-2 Eibar

The Barca fans know the game is up. Lionel Messi and Neymar know it too as they conspire over a free-kick to the left of goal.

Eibar defend the cross, look to counter down the right - and ex-Middlesbrough striker Kike wins a free-kick.

Manchester United gave a debut to a player called Angel Gomes today. He'd have been 11 the last time Real Madrid won La Liga.

  13. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:38 British Summer Time 21 May 2017

    Barcelona 3-2 Eibar

Lionel Messi is offside as he runs to a through ball from Andre Gomes.

Does he know it as he backheels through the keeper's legs? Either way, it doesn't count. A huge shame.

Ignacio Camacho heads just over for Malaga. With Barcelona winning, they need Malaga to score three times in the final 12 minutes and beat Real Madrid to keep the La Liga trophy in Catalonia.

  16. CLOSE!published at 20:33 British Summer Time 21 May 2017

    Barcelona 3-2 Eibar

Barcelona are playing at a frantic speed, pouring forward with ease. Eibar are crumbling as Paco Alcacer directs a header straight into Yoel Rodriguez's arms.

He's made some stunning saves today, Rodriguez - including a penalty - but his team are exposing him at every turn now.

Still, unless Malaga score three to beat Real Madrid it doesn't matter how many Barca get.

  18. goal

GOAL - Barcelona 3-2 Eibarpublished at 20:30 British Summer Time 21 May 2017

    Lionel Messi (penalty)

Driven wide into the very side of the net - Yoel Rodriguez did get a hand to it though.

That's goal number 52 for the season for Lionel Messi. Just the 36 in La Liga.

Not good enough for the title though...

Unless Malaga score three in the last 15 minutes? Yeah.
