    Germany 1-0 Denmark

This is better from Denmark! Line Jensen plays a nice through ball to Theresa Nielsen who's breaking forward, and her chipped cross causes problems for the Germans in the middle, but it's knocked behind for a Danish corner.

The resulting delivery flies past everyone across the face of goal, but the referee spots an infringement. Germany clear.

    Germany 1-0 Denmark

The last time Germany or West Germany didn't reach at least the semi-finals of this competition was 1987... And that year, only four teams were actually at the Women's Euros.

They've dominated this event for decades and they're on course for another last-four tie, as it stands, as they aim for their seventh straight title.

But there's just under an hour left for Denmark to change things, so plenty of time.

    Germany 1-0 Denmark

Denmark's Nadia Nadim does well down the right, but slightly overhits her cross and it goes out of play on the far side.

Germany's keeper is yet to get her gloves dirty, to be honest.

Rain is now falling in Rotterdam again. Both of these sides - and the fans - have seen enough wet weather already this weekend to last for months.

  5. Postpublished at 27 mins

    Germany 1-0 Denmark

Denmark are struggling to keep the ball for long spells, giving it away frequently inside their own half.

They need to settle and grow in to the game. They're capable of much better than this.

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 24 mins

    Germany 1-0 Denmark

The Germans move the ball nicely in the final third and set up Linda Dallmann for the chance to shoot, but her low effort is well saved by Stina Lykke Petersen.

Sara Dabritz dinks a decent cross in from the German left flank, but there's no one in the middle on the end of it.

    Germany 1-0 Denmark

Germany are keeping possession, with the Danes doing plenty of work off the ball.

The pace of the game has slowed somewhat, after an excellent, fast-paced start led to four or five chances in the opening eight minutes.

Aleks: I think England and Germany are the two favourites for the euros, I'd say France as well but Renard will be a big miss.

A lot of people would agree with you Aleks. England meet France in the last eight tonight, from 19:45 BST. The Lionesses have not beaten the French since 1974... But Les Bleus are without their suspended captain, centre-back Wendie Renard.

    Germany 1-0 Denmark

If you're just tuning in, this match was rescheduled at short notice after very heavy rain saw the game called off last night.

The winners will face either Austria or Spain (who meet later today at 17:00 BST) in the semi-finals.

    Germany 1-0 Denmark

Germany midfielder Dzsenifer Marozsan clips the resulting free-kick over the wall, but it's easily held by the keeper.

When Germany stroke the ball around, they do it with style.

They win a free-kick near the edge of the D, as Anja Mittag is brought down.

    Dangerous position.

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 8 mins

    Germany 1-0 Denmark

    Good game, this!

Bayern's Kristin Demann loops a shot towards goal, but Danish keeper Stina Lykke Petersen - who was at fault for the opener - dives well to her left to palm it wide.

  15. CLOSE!published at 6 mins

    Germany 1-0 Denmark

That's better from the Danes! Wolfsburg's Pernille Harder - who is having a great tournament - gets into the German penalty area but her low shot slides just wide across goal.

    Germany 1-0 Denmark

Denmark are all over the place at the back! Dzsenifer Marozsan almost has the holders' second goal after a messy bit of defending, but this time Stina Lykke Petersen gets down low to make the save.

It's a howler for the keeper and Germany lead!

Wolfsburg's Isabel Kerschowski tries her luck from wide on the left and her powerful shot is misjudged by the Denmark keeper Stina Lykke Petersen. It's a howler! She parries it in to the net.

The Germans have a dream start.

After rousing renditions of the two anthems, kick-off is up next.

Germany are expected to win this, but Denmark may well have something to say about that...
