    Sunderland 0-1 Leeds

Ah, James Vaughan gets that all wrong.

The Sunderland striker fires towards goal from 30 yards but it flies well, well wide.

The hosts need to regain their composure here - it's gone a bit messy since that Leeds counter-punch.

    Sunderland 0-1 Leeds

Every time Ergjan Alioski gets the ball for Leeds he charges towards the box.

This time the Macedonian gets it wrong though, scuffing his shot wide from just outside the area.

He's had a superb first half so far though.

    Sunderland 0-1 Leeds

There's a bit of a stunned silence at the Stadium of Light.

Sunderland were dominant for the first 10 or so minutes and Lewis Grabban was so close to putting them in front.

But since that Leeds goal, the visitors have been in charge, led by Macedonian winger Ergjan Alioski.

    Sunderland 0-1 Leeds

Blimey, Leeds could have been 2-0 up.

The livewire Ergjan Alioski puts in a teasing cross from the right but Pablo Hernandez can't connect cleanly with his header and sends it over.

That's Hernandez's last action of the game too - he limps off and is replaced by Kemar Roofe.

    Samuel Saiz

Moments after Sunderland hit the bar, Samuel Saiz hits them on the break.

It's a fantastic goal. Ergjan Alioski jinks down the right and finds the Spaniard in the box.

Saiz then places it past Jason Steele from the tightest of angles.

It came just seconds after Liam Cooper had brilliantly headed Lewis Grabban's goalbound shot onto the bar.

    It's all happening!

    Sunderland 0-0 Leeds

Ergjan Alioski whips in a lovely cross for Leeds but Caleb Ekuban can't get on the end of it.

It was the sort of ball big Chris Wood would have loved - but he's missing today with a move to Burnley set to be completed in the next few days.

Nottingham Forest manager Mark Warburton: "We had to stand up and the players did that.

"We know we're a good squad. We're gelling still & that's three valuable points. I thought we were tremendous."

Kalvin Phillips bends the free-kick around the wall but Jason Steele dives to his left and collects it easily.

Good effort, but one that you'd expect the Sunderland stopper to save.

    Sunderland 0-0 Leeds

Hello, what's this?! The Stadium of Light is bathed in sunshine.

I'm not sure I've seen the sun since May.

The game has settled down slightly and Leeds have found their feet.

Brendan Galloway bundles over Ergjan Alioski 35 yards from goal - free-kick Leeds.

    Sunderland 0-0 Leeds

Finally Leeds get out of their own half as Ergjan Alioski bursts towards the box.

He goes over on the edge of the area under pressure from Brendan Galloway but referee Andy Davies waves it away.

    Better from the visitors.

What superb defending from Pontus Jansson.

James Vaughan gets a fierce strike away from inside the box, but the Leeds defender throws his body on the line and the ball squirts away.

It's all Sunderland at the moment.

    Sunderland 0-0 Leeds

    Close!

Brendan Galloway bursts down the left and fizzes in a low cross which just evades the outstretched boot of Lewis Grabban.

If the forward had got anything on it, Sunderland would have been in front.

  13. Postpublished at 3 mins

    Sunderland 0-0 Leeds

Sunderland are on the front foot straight away as Aiden McGeady bursts into the box, but it's deflected out for a corner.

McGeady whips it in, but it's cleared by Luke Ayling. Good intent from the hosts.

    Sunderland v Leeds (17:30 BST)

Apologies to those of you who noticed I said Sunderland was in Tyneside earlier!

It's been a long day - I blame Sheffield United and Barnsley!

Anyway, the players are out at the Stadium of Light. The atmosphere is electric.

    Sunderland v Leeds (17:30 BST)

Simon Grayson names an unchanged Sunderland line-up for the fourth-straight game.

As I've just mentioned, Chris Wood misses out for Leeds, so Samuel Saiz leads the line.

Sunderland XI: Steele, Jones, Browning, Galloway, Kone, Cattermole, Ndong, Honeyman, Grabban, McGeady, Vaughan.

Leeds XI: Wiedwald, Ayling, Cooper, Jansson, Anita, Phillips, O'Kane, Saiz, Hernandez, Alioski, Ekuban.

The big news for the visitors, is that prolific striker Chris Wood has pulled himself out of the match.

The 25-year-old is close to a £15m move to Premier League Burnley and will have a medical on Sunday.

The New Zealand international put a message on Twitter saying "he didn't feel it was right to play" and that he "wished the team all the best".

After Sunderland's nightmare season in 2016-17 which saw them finish bottom of the Premier League and David Moyes resign after their relegation - things have been a bit brighter this campaign.

The Black Cats are unbeaten in their first three matches including an impressive win at Norwich.

Can they make it four unbeaten this evening?

If you were picking two teams who have put their supporters through the mill in recent seasons, Sunderland and Leeds would probably be near the top of the list.

However, controversial Leeds owner Massimo Cellino has now left Elland Road and the Black Cats have a feeling of a bit of stability under new boss Simon Grayson.

The two square off today at the Stadium of Light.

In Championship terms - it's a clash of the heavyweights.
