    Linfield 2-0 Carrick Rangers

It's as you were at Windsor Park with the Blues continuing to dominate. Kirk Millar headed in Linfield's second goal but he squanders a good chance as this time he sends his header off target. Robert Garrett sees his deflected shot saved by Carrick keeper Harry Doherty, who I suspect has more work to do this afternoon.

    Cliftonville 5-2 Ards

He's back - and as devastating as ever. Gormley snatches another to wrap up the victory for the Reds!

The striker opened his body up to fire into the corner of the net with characteristic aplomb. Joe the Goal is on a hat-trick.

    Cliftonville 4-2 Ards

Oh dear, you never like to see them go in like this. Scott Davidson sticks out a leg to stop Gormley's through ball, but the ball bounces off his leg and past Hogg. Cliftonville have their two-goal cushion back. In deeply unfortunate circumstances for Ards, yes, but they all count.

  4. CLOSE!published at 16:08 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    Dungannon 0-0 Coleraine

The hosts almost start the second-half with a goal. Almost. The supremely influential Mayse finds McMahon, who rounds Johns but can't find the back of the net as the Bannsiders defence recovers to scramble it clear.

    Cliftonville 3-2 Ards

While you make your obligatory half-time cuppa, here are the thoughts of former Cliftonville striker Diarmuid O'Carroll, who has just witnessed a thoroughly entertaining 45 minutes of football at Solitude.

    Quote Message

It's been a case of you attack, we attack, but I very much expect Cliftonville to kick on and win this comfortably. Ards have done well, especially the big men up front, who have been a handful, but I'm not sure they can keep up the pace for 90 minutes.

Both sides have spurned chances at Stangmore, it must be said. McGonigle is the latest culprit for the Bannsiders, firing wide after being found by Adam Mullan. It's scoreless at half-time.

Wait just a second! Kyle Cherry pulls one back for the visitors!

Cherry's effort from distance had the power and pace to beat Long in the Cliftonville goal, who won't be rushing in to see a replay of that one.

Right on the stroke of half-time, Ards have been handed a lifeline - which will certainly change the half-time team-talk. For both managers.

    Ballinamallard Utd 1-1 Glentoran

Glentoran are level at Ferney Park thanks to an overhead strike from Curtis Allen. The striker found the net from a corner and it is a deserved equaliser for the visitors.

    Linfield 2-0 Carrick Rangers

Well, the second goal has now arrived! Niall Quinn delivers the cross and Kirk Millar heads in from eight yards. Quinn set up the goal after a nice one-two with Jordan Stewart, who is impressing on his first league appearance for the champions.

    Linfield 1-0 Carrick Rangers

It's all so easy for Linfield as they carve open Carrick time after time but a second goal has yet to arrive so Rangers are still very much in this game.

    Cliftonville 3-1 Ards

    Chris Curran makes it three!

After some fine work by Tomas Cosgrove, Curran emphatically lashed home to stretch Cliftonville's lead.

All of a sudden, Ards' afternoon is unravelling spectacularly and it looks like they're staring a very long second-half in the face here after such a promising start.

    Cliftonville 2-1 Ards

Joe Gormley scores on his return to Solitude and Cliftonville have turned the game on its head!

Garrett, once again, found space, unleashing a shot which produced another fine save from Hogg. Sadly for the Ards keeper, it once again rebounded kindly to a man in red as Gormley sweeps the ball into the empty net to get his season off and running.

  16. CLOSE!published at 15:32 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    Dungannon 0-0 Coleraine

Well, we thought Mayse may find himself with further opportunities, but it's unfortunately the same result as he volleys over after controlling the ball in the box. Rodney McAree tipped Mayse to be a key performer for the Swifts this season, and he's certainly looked razor-sharp so far.

    Ballinamallard Utd 1-0 Glentoran

Ryan Curran slots home a penalty to give the Mallards the lead at Ferney Park. The spot-kick was awarded for a foul on Josh McIlwaine and comes against the run of play. Can the Glens respond?

  18. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:30 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    Cliftonville 1-1 Ards

The Reds are bearing their teeth as Garrett surges into the area before crashing his effort off the bar.

Swift counter-attacking from Ards has been a feature of this game but it looks as though Cliftonville have found a degree of organisation, which should provide the foundation for a flurry of attacks.

It's finely poised at Solitude after the first half-hour.

    Cliftonville 1-1 Ards

Jay Donnelly equalises for the Reds! Gormley finds space on the left and scuffs a shot, which is saved by Hogg. However, the ball loops into the air before finding its way to Donnelly, who kind accepts the gift to open his team's account for the season.

It hasn't been vintage Reds, but they're back in the game.
