  1. CHANCE!published at 15:21 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    Dungannon 0-0 Coleraine

The biggest chance of the game so far falls to Swifts new boy Ryan Mayse, who hits the post with his header after being picked out expertly by McMenamin. A glorious opportunity to clinch a debut goal for the midfielder but, with the way this game is shaping up, he may get one or two more.

  2. CLOSE!published at 15:21 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    Ballinamallard Utd 0-0 Glentoran

A bright start from the visitors and they have threatened twice - Curtis Allen's snapshot whistles wide before John McGuigan beats the keeper but hits the side-netting.

  3. Almost two!published at 15:19 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    Cliftonville 0-1 Ards

Cliftonville are shell-shocked. Although the Ards defence may have feared a Gormley-inspired onslaught in response to Frazer's opener, it's actually been anything but.

Ards continue to go about their business impressively and almost double the advantage! Liggett's excellent work on the right-wing produced a low cross for the onrushing Keke, who crashed his effort off the woodwork.

That was a let-off for the Reds, who really need to kick themselves into gear.

  5. goal

GOALpublished at 15:17 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    Linfield 1-0 Carrick Rangers

It was coming and now it has arrived - Niall Quinn puts Linfield in front with a left-foot strike into the bottom corner. The champions are starting the season in style with their movement and pace too much for Carrick.

  6. Blues on toppublished at 15:13 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    Linfield 0-0 Carrick Rangers

The champions have seized control at Windsor Park and Niall Quinn sees his shot saved by Rangers keeper Harry Doherty before Jordan Stewart rifles just over. Could be a long afternoon for Carrick!

  7. Great tackle!published at 15:12 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    Dungannon 0-0 Coleraine

Entertaining start to the game at Stangmore as both sides have strung together meaningful attacks. O'Rourke has just prevented the Bannsiders from going ahead after his excellent, last-ditch intervention to deny Carson.

Before that, Douglas Wilson's effort from range tested Johns in the Coleraine goal but he was up to the task.

We're wary of jinxing it, but it definitely looks like we'll be getting goals in this game.

  8. goal

GOALpublished at 15:06 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    Cliftonville 0-1 Ards

Jonny Frazer opens the scoring! Well, that wasn't in the script for Barry Gray and the Reds, who have it all to now.

One attack, one goal for Ards as Guillame Keke finds Frazer with a well-judged pass and the former Linfield man makes no mistake in slotting home.

    Dungannon Swifts v Coleraine

The teams are out at Stangmore Park, where the home fans hope the Mitchell-shaped hole in their attack can be filled with a minimum of fuss.

Dungannon have not tweeted their team, so we're doing it the old fashioned way. Coleman, Brennan, Wilson, Armstrong, McMahon, Mayse, McElroy, O'Rourke, Clucas, McMenamin, Burke.

    Crusaders make winning start

Crusaders, who just fell short in their bid to win three titles in a row last April, look like they mean business this season.

The 2016/17 runners-up kicked off the campaign with a 4-1 win away to Ballymena United.

Matthew Shevlin put United ahead with Paul Heatley equalising before Ballymena's Kyle Owens was sent off.

Goals by Heatley, Colin Coates and Jordan Forsythe sealed the three points for Stephen Baxter's men
