    Deportivo 0-3 Real Madrid

There were some rash heads out there at the end, but for the most part Real Madrid were cool and comfortable.

Their La Liga title defence gets off to a winning start, with a late bump in the shape of Sergio Ramos' red card.

  3. RED CARDpublished at 90 mins +2

    Deportivo 0-3 Real Madrid

    Finally!

Sergio Ramos sees red - he should have gone earlier when he lashed out at Fabian Schar.

It's a second yellow card for Real Madrid's captain. To be fair, it's harsh.

His elbow is dangling in an aerial challenge, that must be what the ref has spotted.

    Either way. He is off.

    Deportivo 0-3 Real Madrid

    TWO minutes added on.

Marco Asensio shapes to shoot in the box but has the ball expertly stolen from under his boot.

Great jelly legs from Navas as Andone ran up to take the pen.

  5. PENALTY SAVEDpublished at 89 mins

    Deportivo 0-3 Real Madrid

Florin Andone shanked it, but Keylor Navas also gets a telling touch to point it round the post.

Fists to the skies in celebration. Andone hangs his head. It's not been his night.

  6. PENALTY - TO DEPORTIVOpublished at 88 mins

    Deportivo 0-3 Real Madrid

Why? Dani Carvajal cleans out Bruno Gama, just inside the box.

    Clear penalty.

  7. Postpublished at 88 mins

    Deportivo 0-3 Real Madrid

Florin Andone clashes with Sergio Ramos again and gets a yellow card for his zealous challenge.

    Adding to the frustration.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 87 mins

    Deportivo 0-3 Real Madrid

    Marco Asensio. Left foot.

Up and over the wall, but punched clear off the line by Depor's keeper Ruben. Fantastic effort, perhaps just a little too central.

  9. Postpublished at 86 mins

    Deportivo 0-3 Real Madrid

Lucas Vazquez, legs blurring, wins a free-kick on the edge of the box.

Marco Asensio has grabbed the ball...

  10. Postpublished at 85 mins

    Deportivo 0-3 Real Madrid

His mate on the other side of the pitch isn't too shabby either. Dani Carvajal, even at this late stage, has enough in the tank to zoom up the pitch, taking the game by the scruff of the neck in search of a flattering fourth. He's unceremoniously hauled back by a cynical hand for his efforts.

  11. Postpublished at 83 mins

    Deportivo 0-3 Real Madrid

Does Marcelo have a problem here? Real Madrid have made their last change already...

The Brazilian seemed to have taken a knock but is back on now and should be alright to continue.

Such a huge player in Zidane's team. Do you ever see him put a foot wrong?

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 80 mins

    Deportivo 0-3 Real Madrid

Luka Modric shanks a shot, an uncharacteristically terrible effort, after good work from Gareth Bale to take down a loose ball in the box and lay it off.

And that's Bale done. Lucas Vazquez is going to come on for Madrid.

Last change for Depo, as Borja Valle comes on for Fede Cartabia.

Abdulazeez yusuf: More of this to come from this Real Madrid side. They are never tired of scoring goals.

  14. Postpublished at 75 mins

    Deportivo 0-3 Real Madrid

Just under 15 minutes to play. It's a case of how many for Real Madrid now. They've got their slippers on, feet up, Cameron de la Isla playing.

Depor at least deserve a goal from this game showing. They've defended really badly but hit the bar once and Florin Andone has worked tirelessly up front.

  15. Postpublished at 72 mins

    Deportivo 0-3 Real Madrid

Another switch-up. Casemiro's heading off now, big beaming smile on his face.

Marcos Llorente is on to replace him. That's an interesting one. Will he play a big part this season? The 22-year-old is returning from a season's loan at Alaves.

    We're hearing good things.

  16. Postpublished at 68 mins

    Deportivo 0-3 Real Madrid

Marco Asensio is straight in the thick of it, exchanging passes with Karim Benzema in a move that doesn't quite come off on the edge of the Depor box.

That goal Asensio scored against Barcelona the other night was sensational. If confirmation was needed of his arrival at the very top, there you had it.

    I fancy he'll have a pop tonight.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 67 mins

    Deportivo 0-3 Real Madrid

Just what you want to see when you're three goals down.

    Marco Asensio.

He comes on for Isco as Real Madrid switch up. Deportivo stick Adrian on, with Celso Borges the man to make way in midfield.

  18. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 64 mins

    Deportivo 0-3 Real Madrid

Fantastic from Guilherme, who darts past two challenges in the box and into space, he cracks a shot away, it's swerving powerfully past Keylor Navas, who just throws his arms up anywhere near it, he's nowhere near close.

But it cannons back off the crossbar. Cruel on Depor. Again.

  19. goal

GOAL - Deportivo 0-3 Real Madridpublished at 62 mins

    Toni Kroos

They really can just score when they want, can't they? Isco charges on goal and feeds Gareth Bale down the left. He's well inside the box, will he cut back to shoot on his right?

Instead, there's an easy option number two. Toni Kross, galloping from deep, arrives onto Bale's cut-back and whallops the ball home, first time.

Real Madrid are home and hosed.

  20. YELLOW CARDpublished at 60 mins

    Deportivo 0-2 Real Madrid

Fede Cartabia ruthlessly scythes down Casemiro, just as the Real Madrid midfielder was hitting full stride.

    In you go son.

From the free-kick, Gareth Bale hits a swirling effort straight down Ruben's gullet.
