Manchester United are absolutely on the ropes now. Southampton are utterly dominant and they are getting lots and lots of little half chances now.

If it carries on like this, at least one of them will go in.

Marouane Fellaini is not the most popular player with Manchester United fans but he has just saved his side's lead.

Oriol Romeu meets a corner and gets the wrong side of Nemanja Matic and heads at goal. But, with De Gea beaten, Fellaini is in the right spot to head off the line.

Nearly two for Lukaku. Southampton are caught on the counter-attack and are overloaded. Henrikh Mkhitaryan slides in a pass to Romelu Lukaku, who shoots low and hard but Fraser Forster is well positioned and saves the effort with his feet.

And Jose Mourinho has seen enough. Off goes Juan Mata, on comes Ander Herrera to tighter things up in midfield with Southampton looking to get back into it.

Manchester United are losing control of this game now. Southampton have had three or four opportunities to get back into it.

The manager has had a few words with Southampton and the attitude has changed. Jose Mourinho will not let that happen.

Why didn't Southampton do this in the first half? They were toothless in attack in the first half, now they are looking a threat. Shane Long shoots over.

Back to that earlier Jones challenge on Long and the players came together just outside of the box, with Long falling to the floor in the box. Referee Pawson dismissed the claims for a foul anyway.

And another half-chance for the Saints. Shane Long is found in the penalty area, and heads wide.

Moments later, Long goes to ground under a challenge from Phil Jones, Southampton want a penalty, Craig Pawson says no.

Cedric Soares gets to the byeline, but excellent work from Marcus Rashford, who had tracked his man back and slides the ball for a corner, which is absolutely wasted by Steven Davis. A decent spell this for the Saints though, some of their best football of the match so far, although the bar was not too high.

Better from Southampton. Nathan Redmond wriggles to create some space and his low effort is heading for the bottom corner until David de Gea grabs hold of the effort.

From that set-piece, Oriol Romeu tries to bundle the ball home but, in a bit of scramble, it goes wide.
