This is pretty scrappy at times, from both sides.

It eventually falls to Kyle Naughton, whose volley sends Heurelho Gomes into action.

Heurelho Gomes is getting plenty of stick from the home support as he takes his time with a goal kick. I won't repeat the words they were throwing at him. Potty mouths.

Watford earn a free-kick in a dangerous position - about 25 yards out.

Jose Holebas sends in a low delivery and it's easily cleared by Mike van der Hoorn.

While Marco Silva watches admiringly as his Watford players dominate, his opposite number Paul Clement is growing increasingly furious.

The Swansea head coach has told substitutes Tammy Abraham and Renato Sanches to warm up and we haven't even played half an hour yet.

Watford have been very impressive again so far today.

They were drubbed 6-0 last week but aside from that they had a good start to the season and they thoroughly deserve their lead at the Liberty Stadium.

Etienne Capoue has been everywhere in the early stages in the absence of Nathaniel Chalobah and Andre Gray ruthlessly took his chance when Sam Clucas diverted Andre Carillo's cross into his path.

Wilfried Bony hasn't had a look-in for Swansea yet and they've struggled to get going.

Some bloomin' awful passes going on here. Both sides are losing the ball in midfield too easily.

Tom Cleverley thinks it's a good idea to sit on Wilfried Bony and Swansea earn another free-kick from near the half-way line. Carroll's delivery comes in but is cleared.

Tom Carroll lines up a free-kick from distance. He finds the head of Wilfried Bony but the Swansea man can't get his header on target.

He's not having the best day so far.

That Watford goal had been coming.

The Hornets have dominated possession and played with far more purpose and tempo than their opponents, much to the delight of the travelling swarm of yellow shirts behind the Watford goal.

During his briefing with the written press on Thursday, Paul Clement seemed to get a little tetchy when asked how defensive Swansea's 5-3-2 formation is.

It's how you use the system, he argued, insisting that it can be used as an attacking ploy if the wing-backs fly upfield and the midfielders attack.

That hasn't been the case yet, though. Swansea have yet to settle in the match and Clement is visibly and audibly frustrated, waving his arms and screaming at his players.

Swansea nearly equalise immediately! From a looping corner and a Leroy Fer header down, Federico Fernandez tries to poke in at the far post but goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes is able to scramble the ball away for a corner.

    Andre Gray buries that one!

It's been one-way traffic in the opening 10 minutes, in terms of possession.

Swansea are just starting to find their feet, though.

Jordan Ayew tries to find Wilfried Bony in the box once again but the move breaks down.

    Great chance for Andre Gray.

The Watford striker finds himself in loads of space in the box when he picks up Kiko Femenia's ball from the right but he can only watch his shot deflect wide past the post.

    Swansea 0-0 Watford

This is nice keep-ball from Watford, but they seem a bit frightened to bolt foward in attack.

Etienne Capoue finds Jose Holebas, who feeds to Kiko Femenia, to Andre Carrillo, back to Capoue.

And the Hornets man is pulled down by Sam Clucas for a free-kick from distance. It's wasted by Abdoulaye Doucoure and goes straight out for a goal kick.
