This is what happens when you go into a season with only two strikers and one gets injured. Michy Batshuayi is only a bench striker.

    Tottenham 1-0 Bournemouth

Spurs have had a nervy few minutes as Bournemouth look for a way back into the game but the match's best performer almost has a second. Snorter of a left-footed drive from 20 yards bu Christian Eriksen and Asmir Begovic does well to push it clear. That was travelling at warp speed.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:32 British Summer Time 14 October 2017

    Man City 6-2 Stoke

Another Manchester City change, another standing ovation. Fernandinho comes off to be replaced by Yaya Toure for the final 20 minutes.

That means Sergio Aguero will not become the club's record goalscorer, today at least. The Argentine needs one goal to equal Eric Brook's 177 in all competitions.

  17. 'What a strike from Fernandinho'published at 16:24 British Summer Time 14 October 2017

    Man City 6-2 Stoke

    Sue Smith
Former England forward on Final Score

Fernandinho is so important for Manchester City - how he sits and protects.

But what a strike he's produced for City's fifth. Butland might have got fingertips on the strike, but there was no absolutely no stopping it.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:24 British Summer Time 14 October 2017

  19. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:24 British Summer Time 14 October 2017

    Burnley 0-1 West Ham

Burnley midfielder Johann Berg Gudmundsson was brought on at half-time in a bid to change this game for the home side... and it nearly works. The Iceland midfielder has a pop from distance, his trundler beating Joe Hart but not the right-hand post. The ball bumps off the woodwork, hits Hart on the backside and then he gathers. No wonder he's grinning.
