Crystal Palace now have to dig deep. They need to roll their sleeves up now and try to grind out results. The confidence drains when you have bad results but individuals need to look into the mirror. At the moment Palace look dire.

  3. 'A big deal for Palace today is the return of Zaha'published at 14:40 British Summer Time 14 October 2017

Football commentator at Selhurst Park for 5 live Sport

Roy Hodgson has had at least six players away on international duty, so I'm not too sure that he'll have been able to work fully with his new squad over the last two weeks.

But a big deal for Palace today is the return of Zaha, and his presence in today's matchday squad is a big boost for everyone here at Selhurst Park.

  4. Zaha returnspublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 14 October 2017

Crystal Palace v Chelsea (15:00 BST)

As we've already been alluded to, it's not been the greatest start to the season for Crystal Palace. But things can only get better, right?

They've been given a huge boost today by the return of Wilfried Zaha, who has been absent since injuring his knee on the first day of the season.

Boss Roy Hodgson, who has yet to see his side score a goal, said: "He can make a difference."

"He's a good player who, in the past, has made some very important moves and done some very important things for Crystal Palace.

"The fans will be pleased to see him back because they associate him with some better moments."

Crystal Palace v Chelsea (15:00 BST)

Winless Crystal Palace make four changes from their 4-0 defeat by Manchester United. Wayne Hennessey isn't fit, so Julian Speroni starts in goal.

Wilfried Zaha makes his first start since the opening day of the season, while Scott Dann also returns.

Chelsea pair Alvaro Morata and N'Golo Kante miss out through injury, but David Luiz returns from suspension.

Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen drop to the bench. Michy Batshuayi and Willian come in alongside Eden Hazard up front.
