Truro carrying Cornish hopespublished at 19:09 British Summer Time 16 October 2017
19:09 BST 16 October 2017This little corner of Britain has reason to celebrate because Cornwall has a side in the FA Cup first round for the first time in 48 years.
Truro City are in the hat after beating Hampton and Richmond Borough 2-0.
That means they are the first team from Cornwall to be involved in this stage of the competition since Falmouth Town in 1969.

End of twitter postThe scene is set in Ossett for the FA Cup draw.
West Yorkshire side Ossett Town have enjoyed their best-ever run in the competition and reality TV fans will recognise the name of one of the players on their books - Jake Quickenden.
He was a contestant on the X Factor before finishing runner up on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
You can read my colleague Neil Johnston's interview with Quickenden here.

18:59 BST 16 October 2017Speaking of Hyde United, it is 130 years and a day since they were hammered 26-0 in the FA Cup - a record defeat in the competition.
Luckily for them, Preston North End don't enter at this stage of the competition...

18:57 BST 16 October 2017Hyde United's ground, Ewen Fields, is where tonight's draw is coming from.

Just the five minutes to go until the cameras roll.
