Anthony Martial needs to be very careful here.

He commits another foul and gives Huddersfield a free-kick in a good position.

Aaron Mooy whips a dangerous free-kick into the box and it goes out for a corner.

Good period this for the Terriers.

Mooy then whips in the corner, but it is cleared.

Manchester United were treated to trumpets and drums on arrival to the John Smith’s Stadium. The brass version of Pharrell Williams’ Happy went down an absolute treat for the hundreds of fans that braved the wind and rain outside. Proper Yorkshire welcome for their Roses rivals from down the road.

    It will never catch on

Since Jose Mourinho took charge of Manchester United, the Red Devils have been outrun in 40 of their 46 Premier League matches, more than any other team.

However, only Chelsea (106), Spurs (103) and Man City (100) have actually won more points than Man Utd in this period (89 – level with Liverpool).

Just one goal for Huddersfield in their last six Premier League games.

Manchester United's defence has only been breached twice in their eight league games.

I have said it before, but Huddersfield do not just need a win - they need some goals.

The Terriers have only scored once in their past six league games, but have started conceding them - four against Tottenham, then two versus a Swansea side who had been struggling.

But they are up against Manchester United at home on Saturday, so if you are Huddersfield manager David Wagner, what do you do?

His philosophy when I saw his side play in the Championship was to play with wide players, and people poured forward, which was great and ultimately got them promotion.

Do they do the same against United? You are asking for trouble if you do, so those goals might have to wait.

I am backing United to go there and win, but the question is how hard will Huddersfield make them work for it?

    Lawro's prediction: 0-2

Welcome to Yorkshire! That’s what you call a proper pud! It’s the size of a plate. They don’t do small portions at Huddersfield when it comes to food!

The press box is rammed, there’s not a spare seat to be had. Hopefully the game against Manchester United will be just as good as what’s being currently tucked in to at the John Smith’s Stadium.

    Steve Bower
    Match of the Day commentator

Whilst the week's debate about Manchester United's style under Jose Mourinho continues, Huddersfield will have taken note of their results and how difficult it has been to breach United's defence.

"United have equalled their best ever start to a Premier League season at this stage and will be disappointed with anything less than a return to winning ways in West Yorkshire.

"Huddersfield have scored only once in their last six games after their mini-honeymoon start on their return to the top flight. They conceded four to Spurs in their last home game and will hope some lessons have been learnt."

Much has changed since Manchester United last visited Huddersfield in the league, not least the location of the pitch.

A few hundred yards away from the John Smith's Stadium, in a retail centre car park, this plaque is located.

It marks where the centre circle was for the old Leeds Road ground. United played there back in 1971, the Holy Trinity of George Best, Bobby Charlton and Denis Law were all on the scoresheet together for the final time in a 3-0 win.

Best would have been rampaging towards the Argos back in the day.

The last time Manchester United player at Huddersfield Town was in October 1971, David Wagner was not even born.

The Terriers lost 3-0 that day, with George Best, Denis Law and Sir Bobby Charlton on the scoresheet - they final time they all scored in a United game.

Today is the first meeting between the two sides since that 1971-2 top-flight campaign.
