  1. 'Shocking from the Hammers'published at 18:47 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2017

    West Ham 1-3 Liverpool

    Robbie Savage
    Ex-Leicester City & Wales midfielder on 6-0-6

Terrible defending from West Ham, especially after a good initial save from Joe Hart. It's shocking from the Hammers really, who desperately needed to bed in after pulling a goal back moments before.

    Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

    Liverpool

From kick-off, Liverpool regain their two-goal advantage.

Awful from West Ham at the back, leaving Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain free at the back post.

The former Arsenal man's initial effort is saved but, he gobbles up the rebound by thrashing into the roof of the net.

Joe Hart has a bemused smile on his face. I don't think the West Ham fans are laughing.

    Manuel Lanzini

    West Ham

Re-write coming, Gary Rose. Re-write coming.

You always have a chance against this Liverpool defence.

Andre Ayew's cross to the back post loops over Joe Gomez, who mis-judged the flight of the ball.

Manuel Lanzini chests it down and pokes an effort past Simon Mignolet.

    Back in it.

    West Ham 0-2 Liverpool

My colleague Gary Rose is writing the report for this game. Says he has it written up already.

    Big mistake.

The last time West Ham were 2-0 up at half-time, I had done the same.

They came back to win the match 3-2 against Tottenham.

    West Ham 0-2 Liverpool

Andy Carroll showing the fight his team-mates lacked in that first half, tracking back to win the ball off Emre Can.

But in the next move, the Englishman flattens the German in an aerial challenge.

A squashed Can, you could say, crumpled.

Miggmaester: I really rate Bilic as a manager, but I think he needs a new challenge and West Ham need some new blood.

Ash: With Liverpool's defence there's always a way back for any team...

Rob Elmore: Why on earth doesn't Carroll start for West Ham? Should be in the England squad.

Emre Can with a burst forward, laying off to Mohamed Salah.

He pulls the ball back to Sadio Mane outside the box, but the shot is blazed over.

Maybe still feeling the after-effects of that Winston Reid challenge minutes earlier.

    Chopped.

West Ham defender Winston Reid hacks down Sadio Mane on the run and receives a booking.

A better first minute to the second half than the whole of the first.

A big improvement by West Ham, earning an early corner, which is cleared.

Ash Williams: Bilic is not the only issue at West Ham. Lack of desire, commitment & quality in the squad too.

Khalid: Gold and Sullivan just ordered Karen Brady to print Bilic's P45 right now.

Paul Salmon: I wonder what the odds were on West Ham, Swansea and Everton to go down at the beginning of the season?

Anyone - can you help Paul out?

    West Ham 0-2 Liverpool

    Jonathan Overend
BBC Radio 5 live at London Stadium

The decisions of Neil Swarbrick are not helping the mood - fans feel fouls on Javier Hernandez and Mark Noble went unpunished - but it's masking the real anger here; namely West Ham's inability to get the ball through midfield at any pace and their simple inability to retain possession.

And for those who saw the defeat by Brighton in their last match here, it's all far too familiar. Likewise the early trip to the bar to drown half-time sorrows.

    West Ham 0-2 Liverpool

While Simon Mignolet is in that Liverpool goal, West Ham still have a chance...even playing this badly and being two down.

A long ball is played forward, no way is it going out of play, but the Belgian tries to shepherd it into touch.

Andre Ayew nips in but cannot work an effort towards goal.

At least some solace for Winston Reid.
