  2. 'Something to build on'published at 17:41 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

    Swansea 0-0 Bournemouth

    Swansea City

    Swansea City manager Paul Clement:

"[It was] not a very good performance from him [referee Stuart Attwell], but I'd rather talk about my team.

"They showed the passion and enthusiams to pay today and I think the supporters were happy with what they saw.

"Leroy Fer has a really good chance at the end, but it's a pleasing performance. We were really good in spells and it is something to build on.

"The way we played after the break was settled and in control. We didn't get that break to get all three points, but the fans were patient when we made errors and that was a big, big help."

  3. 'We're becoming harder to beat'published at 17:41 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

    Swansea 0-0 Bournemouth

    Bournemouth

AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe: "It was a scrappy game and not high quality, but both team gave everything.

"We're becoming harder to beat, so I'm happy [with that]. They made it difficult for us."

On Swansea's disallowed goal in the first-half: "I thought there was a foul, [but] I've only seen it live. I thought the referee made the right call."

On a record third consecutive clean sheet in the Premier League: "I'm very pleased with that mark. As a team we've functioned well this season but there are plenty of areas to improve.

"I think it's another step forward for us, we didn't play well but came away with a point. We look forward to Wednesday."

  4. 'Our defending is hurting us'published at 17:37 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

    Crystal Palace 2-1 Stoke

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes: "It’s a game we shouldn’t have lost after a good goal from Shaqiri.

"Our defending has been poor the last couple of games and that is hurting us at the moment.

"You have to deal with balls in the box, we didn’t do that well enough today and that’s disappointing. It’s a game we felt we could win, we played well, but it’s about fundamental defending and we haven’t done that."

  5. 'A strange game'published at 17:35 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

    Crystal Palace 2-1 Stoke

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson: "It was a strange game in the sense that both teams were in control defensively.

"Neither team had too many clear cut chances. Fortunately we got the rewards from two good crosses.

"We've got to keep working, keep doing what we're doing and most importantly not slip below the standard we've set ourselves."

  6. Brighton gave United hardest game this season - Mourinhopublished at 17:34 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

  7. 'I'm really happy with the players'published at 17:32 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

    Tottenham 1-1 West Brom

    West Bromwich Albion

West Brom caretaker manager Gary Megson, speaking to Match of the Day: "Having led for so long it was disappointing to concede the manner of the goal we did, whoever we're playing against - a team as good as Spurs or whoever.

"They've had a lot of possession, but not many clear chances, so we defended really well actually, a part from their goal. In terms of the week we've had, the performance we've put in and the energy the players had - I'm really happy with them, they can be really pleased with their efforts.

"In the first half we were on the ball, keeping it well. Tottenham played two of the best games that I've seen this season against Real Madrid, but because of injuries, they've had to play a different formation today, and they had to change it a few times because it wasn't working for them."

Megson added on the managerial situation: "I've said to the players we do everything as we would do normally, the players are in tomorrow to prepare for the Newcastle game, but whatever else goes on is nothing to do with me."

  8. Performance will help with confidencepublished at 17:29 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

    Man Utd 1-0 Brighton

    Brighton & Hove Albion

More from Chris Hughton: "We've played three of the big six. We play Liverpool next Saturday. In all three games so far we've been in all three games and we haven't been humiliated in any of them. That will go some way with confidence in the changing room."

  9. 'It wasn't a corner'published at 17:29 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

    Man Utd 1-0 Brighton

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton boss Chris Hughton speaking after the game said: "I thought we made a really good account of ourselves. Sometimes the margins can be that little bit of brilliance or that little bit of fortune and it very much was that. (The) two most disappointing things are we got into some good positions and we needed to make more of them, and the goal itself. My view at the time, it wasn’t a corner. Having seen it again, it wasn’t a corner.

"In a tight affair we were good value and I’m really disappointed not to come away with anything.

"We looked to get into that final third as often as we could. I thought we were very brave on the ball."

    Salomon RondonImage source, Reuters

Speaking after the match West Brom goalscorer Salomon Rondon said: "For the team, for the players, for everyone at the club it was difficult for us [this week], but we have to keep going. We knew this was going to be a tough game today, against a big team, so we are happy with a point.

He added: "Scoring first was a magnificent moment for us, and we could have got the three points. But the best thing for us is to keep going now, we know we need to keep going."

  12. Two points lostpublished at 17:24 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

    Tottenham 1-1 West Brom

    Tottenham Hotspur

Speaking to Match of the Day Mauricio Pochettino said: "I think we are disappointed because the effort from us was massive but we conceded the goal so early in the game, and they had the belief to play deep, so it was hard for us to move the ball.

"In the last 15 minutes we increased our level and created a lot of chance to score but we weren't clinical, it is always difficult in the Premier League when you concede a goal so early, it changes the way the team wants to play. We took a lot of risks trying to score and we didn't concede many chances, they had the chance when they scored and one in the second half. The result is 1-1 and I'm disappointed because we lose two points. Now, we need to look forward now and try to win the next game.

Pochettino added on his goalscorer, Harry Kane: "It's very good for him and the team to rescue one point, but because we drew we are very disappointed."

  13. 'A fantastic result'published at 17:22 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

    Newcastle 0-3 Watford

    Watford

Watford boss Marco Silva, speaking to BBC Sport: "We won the game, really important for us, we got a fantastic result. Congratulations for our players and our fans, their support was really good for our team but congratulations to the fans of Newcastle, fantastic today and always support their team.

"We deserved the three points. We had very good moments, we scored the first goal through something we planned. The confidence in some moments was good, we knew they were strong in the long balls and first and second balls and I think we controlled really well.

"It is important for our players to play with this confidence. It is important for them to rest now and we have a hard game against Manchester United on Tuesday."

  14. 'We made mistakes and paid the price'published at 17:19 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

    Newcastle 0-3 Watford

    Newcastle United

Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez, speaking to BBC Sport: "We made a couple of mistakes and we paid for that. They had a couple of runs down their left which were difficult to control. We were pushing in the first half, we were on top for a while but then didn't score.

"We have to realise where we are, what we have and where we want to be. I've said before it is going to be a tough season and we have to keep working as hard as possible."

Jose was needed after Moyes and LvG and he has indeed steadied the ship. And for that I am grateful. But his football DNA doesn’t match Utd’s. His style of football is soul destroying and I no longer watch. Its not enjoyable. Thankfully Jose doesn’t hang around too long at clubs.

More from Mourinho: "They gave us probably the hardest match we’ve had this season. We had amazing chances a couple of days ago and we couldn’t score, today we did it. Congratulations to them for their performance, congratulations to my boys. My boys they didn’t play well but they gave everything. The boys they don’t deserve bad words from me."

  17. Brighton 'deserved more'published at 17:12 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

    Man Untd 1-0 Brighton

    Manchester United

Speaking after the match Jose Mourinho said: "I want to be honest and give them what they deserve, for me probably they deserve more than the result they got. They played really well, they had a good defensive organisation and then when they had the ball they were dangerous. Honestly I think Brighton was very, very good.

"I think we were more spirit and heart than quality. Sometimes to play with too many attacking players doesn't mean you are offensive. We had a lot of attacking players on the pitch but we lose a bit of control in midfield.

"(Does he regret picking so many attacking players) No I don't regret because I picked them against Newcastle and we won 4-1. It is the reality of football sometimes, to have too many attacking players on the pitch, sometimes you lose balance and don't create many chances.

"We play amazingly well in the first half against Basel and we lost so the most important thing are the points."

    Newcastle 0-3 Watford

Marco Silva is famous for his record in home games but he seems to have nailed it away from home as well.

Watford have won more away Premier League points in their seven games this season (13) than they did in 19 on the road in 2016-17 (12).

    Impressive.
