    Hart comes well out of his box to clear the ball and, without missing a stride, Rooney connects with it and sends it straight over the defenders into the empty goal. When the ball comes to you that far out, the first thought for 99% of players in the Premier League is to take a touch. Not Wayne Rooney, he hits it in a split second and what a goal to complete the hat-trick.

    Wayne Rooney’s hat-trick tonight came 2,272 days after his last (10 September 2011) – the longest gap between two hat-tricks by a player in Premier League history.

    It's a picture-book save by Pickford in goal, it's not the best from Lanzini but Pickford did what Joe Hart couldn't and pushed it well wide to safety.

    West Ham are still pushing and they feel they have a real chance here now - I think we have a real game on our hands.

    Everton have conceded at least two goals in every game under David Unsworth so far...
