  8. Same old, same old?published at 18:32 Greenwich Mean Time 29 November 2017

The return of David Moyes, Alan Pardew and Sam Allardyce to the Premier League dugouts in recent weeks means that there are plenty of familiar faces out there.

    Plenty of British managers, too.

Allardyce will make it eight out of 20 once he is confirmed at Everton, all largely experienced too.

The grateful eight of Howe, Dyche, Hodgson, Allardyce, Hughes, Clement, Pardew and Moyes have managed 2,162 Premier League matches between them so far, winning 761 for a bang-average win percentage of 35%.

Sam Allardyce is set to become Everton's manager - on the same day that West Brom appointed Alan Pardew.

And the same month as David Moyes took over at West Ham. It's been a couple of months since Roy Hodgson got the Crystal Palace job.

    The year is 2017.
