Thanks for joining me today. To finish off, here’s the answer to the half-time quiz – the 23 current Premier League and EFL grounds at which former Watford chairman Elton John has performed concerts.

Premier League (7): Southampton, Huddersfield, Stoke, Bournemouth, Tottenham (Wembley). Swansea, Watford (of course)

Championship (5): Bristol City, Reading, Norwich, Bolton, Ipswich

League One (7): Charlton, Oxford, Plymouth, Doncaster, Shrewsbury, Walsall, Blackburn

League Two (4): Swindon, Carlisle, Chesterfield, Colchester

Jose Holebas takes, but it's too close to Nick Pope. The Burnley goalkeeper gathers, and that is that.

But Richarlison is tripped and Watford have a free-kick 35 yards out. The goalkeeper is coming up...

To use up a little more time, Burnley make their final change. Ashley Westwood comes on for Steven Defour, to do little more than pick up a win bonus.

Always a chance of being proved wrong, but Burnley are seeing down the clock pretty effectively here...

I think Burnley will settle for 1-0 now. Chris Wood, chasing the ball into the corner to eat up seconds, wins a foul out of Adrian Mariappa, who has the frustrated look of a man who has just dropped his lunch on the kitchen floor. Watford deal with the set-piece, and we have four minutes of stoppage time to play.

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 87 mins

    Burnley 1-0 Watford

It's all getting rather heated. Richarlison, charging down the left for the vistors, is sent flying into touch by Phil Bardsley. The Burnley full-back is booked, but Watford head coach Marco Silva is incandescent. Referee Lee Probert tells Silva to wind his neck in. The resulting free-kick cames to nought.

Yet it's Burnley who so nearly get the game's second goal. Johann Gudmundsson, who's had a very decent game, has space on the right from Scott Arfield's pass to shoot, and Heurelho Gomes pushes out the angled shot - the loose ball just evading Chris Wood in the centre.

Andre Gray knows he needs to improve and there's more to come. I certainly see that in his game. His pace and power strikes fear into defenders but his technical ability and clinical nature needs to improve.

He's had a great start to his Watford career but he misses too many chances.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 79 mins

    Burnley 1-0 Watford

Watford make another change. Former Burnley striker Andre Gray is on, to boos from the home support, replacing Andre Carrillo. Gray left Turf Moor for Vicarage Road in an £18m deal in August. What price a late goal from him? He has two for Watford so far.

It's still bubbling along nicely this game. Scott Arfield is brought down 25 yards from goal by Christian Kabasele - but Steven Defour lifts the free-kick over.

At the other end, Watford are convinced they should have a penalty. Richarlison tumbles under the challenge of Phil Bardsley, but TV replays show the defender got the ball.

"There have been only nine goals in total scored in the league at Turf Moor this season. No wonder Burnley's fans are upset at seeing one ruled out."

  15. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 72 mins

No goal. And Sean Dyche is fuming. Scott Arfield's shot is deflected off Watford's Tom Cleverley into the path of Barnes, who steers a shot underneath the keeper. Barnes celebrates, but the referee rules it out after consulting with his assistant. It's a borderline decision.

Is it a goal for Burnley or isn't it? Ashley Barnes slots in, but the referee wants a word with his assistant...

Another contentious moment for referee Lee Probert to deal with. Andre Carrillo, running in from the left, goes to ground under James Tarkowski's challenge. Watford want a penalty and don't get one, and are not happy about it. Replays show contact between Tarkowski's foot and Carrillo's and also that the Peru international went down rather easily. Who'd be a ref, eh?

    Burnley 1-0 Watford

Burnley free-kick on the right is whipped in towards the far post, where Kevin Long, on the stretch, can only divert the ball over. It doesn't matter, however, as the flag was up for offside anyway. Credit to Daryl Janmaat, who did much to put Long off.

  19. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 61 mins

    Burnley 1-0 Watford

First Burnley change. Ashley Barnes replaces Jeff Hendrick.

Within seconds, Barnes is involved as the home side have a goal ruled out for offside. James Tarkowski's ball over the top in the striker's direction is reached first by Jack Cork, before Chris Wood taps into the empty net. Neither Cork nor Wood are offside, but Barnes is - and even though he doesn't touch the ball, is ruled to be interfering with play. Which he probably is.

Ooh, but that was a chance for Watford. Daryl Janmaat crosses from the right and Richarlison chests down for Andre Carrillo, who needs to shoot first time and hesitates, allowing Jack Cork to whip the ball off him for a corner. From which, Burnley face a flurry of pressure, which ends when Tom Cleverley shoots well over and wide from the edge of the penalty area.
