    Watford 0-2 Huddersfield Town

A crazy first half nearly sees a third goal for Huddersfield as Rajiv van La Parra shoots at goal but the effort lacks pace and is easily dealt with by Watford goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes.

John: Huddersfield score a goal clearly offside. It stands. Watford do the same. Not allowed.

Stu Milligan: Three-match ban for Deeney. Somebody clearly wants Xmas off.

    Five minutes of added time.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 45 mins

    Watford 0-2 Huddersfield Town

Another forced change for Huddersfield, their second. Chris Lowe comes off and on comes Scott Malone to take his place. Remember, first goalscorer Elias Kachunga went off earlier on, via a stretcher, with what looked to be a bad injury.

  6. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Watford 0-2 Huddersfield Town

Tom Ince's free-kick is well over the top, which now means he has had 41 shots at goal this season without scoring. A record to not be proud of for the Huddersfield midfielder.

  7. YELLOW CARD - Doucoure (Watford)published at 15:41 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Watford 0-2 Huddersfield Town

Free-kick to Huddersfield on the edge of the box and a yellow card for Abdoulaye Doucoure, for fouling the impressive Collin Quaner.

Gary: Definitely a red card! #WatfordFC, external

Johnny Magrinho: I think Watford’s recent crumbling should put Burnley’s continued form into perspective. They’ve gone from being free-scoring, fearless and exciting to losing 2-0 at home to Huddersfield. Burnley are still 4th. Funny old game, ain’t it?

  9. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 15:38 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Watford 0-2 Huddersfield Town

Richarlison has the ball in the net, but the assistant's flag rules it out for offside. It is the right decision with Richarlison well offside as a free-kick was taken, before he steered the ball past Jonas Lossl.

  10. 'It looks incredibly harsh'published at 15:36 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Watford 0-2 Huddersfield Town

The Watford Twitter account clearly does not agree with the decision to send off Troy Deeney.

  11. RED CARD - Troy Deeneypublished at 15:33 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Watford 0-2 Huddersfield Town

For the third successive match, Watford have a player sent off and this time it is their captain Troy Deeney.

Collin Quaner has the ball close to the touchline and Troy Deeney comes storming in and chops him down.

Referee Michael Oliver produces a straight red card. It was rash and reckless, but Deeney is furious with the decision. A booking? Absolutely. A red card? I'm not too sure.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 29 mins

    Watford 0-2 Huddersfield Town

    Who saw this one coming?

Watford boss Marco Silva has already had enough and makes his first change of the afternoon as defender Adrian Mariappa goes off and attacking midfielder Roberto Pereyra comes on. A very attacking move from Silva.

Pereyra heads into the 'number 10' position with the hornets adopting a 4-2-3-1 formation.

  13. goal

GOAL - Watford 0-2 Huddersfieldpublished at 23 mins

    Aaron Mooy

Another scrappy goal, but Huddersfield, who hadn't scored an away goal since the first match of the season, now have two.

Collin Quaner gets the ball on the deadball line but has the time to deliver in a cross. Aaron Mooy does not know much about it as the ball hits him about six yards out and goes into the net.

Watford in all sorts of trouble now.

  14. CLOSE!published at 20 mins

    Watford 0-1 Huddersfield Town

A chance for a Watford equaliser, the ball falls to Richarlison on his left foot, but the finish is not a composed one and he shoots over the top.

  15. Postpublished at 16 mins

    Watford 0-1 Huddersfield Town

The highs and lows of football.

Elias Kachunga has just scored his first Premier League goal, but is now being carried off on a stretcher. It came after a low cross came in and Watford goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes bravely dived at Kachunga's feet.

But no blame can be put on Gomes, and it looked like Kachunga stubbed his foot in the ground and went over, injuring either his knee or ankle. It looks a bad one, and let's hope it is not as serious as it looks.

Tom Ince is the man who comes on.

  16. Postpublished at 10 mins

    Watford 0-1 Huddersfield Town

Watford boss Marco Silva is furious with the officials, and he has every reason to be unhappy as the replay shows that Kachunga is in an offside position, almost on the goalline, when he steers in Collin Quaner's shot. We will be hearing about that one later on.

  17. Postpublished at 8 mins

    Watford 0-1 Huddersfield Town

That is the first Premier League goal for Elias Kachunga and Huddersfield's first away goal since the first match of the season.

  18. goal

GOAL - Watford 0-1 Huddersfieldpublished at 5 mins

    Elias Kachunga

A scrappy, scrappy goal but Huddersfield will not care.

A corner from the right causes problems for Watford, who make a mess of two attempts to clear it.

Aaron Mooy keeps it alive and sends it to the back post, Collin Quaner has a shot on goal, it hits a couple of players before Elias Kachinga prods the ball over the line from close range and Huddersfield lead.
