    Southampton 1-0 Huddersfield

Huddersfield have won two of their last three games and are looking to get back into this game.

    They should be level.

Full-back Florent Hadergjonaj puts in another well-shaped cross towards the penalty area, again onto the head of Christophe Schindler, but the Terriers defender heads wide from an unmarked position.

A poor header and boss David Wagner on the touchline is not impressed.

And the pressure from those corners pays.

James Ward-Prowse swings in a delivery which Wesley Hoedt heads on towards the back post and striker Charlie Austin is on hand to stoop and head home from a couple of yards out.

The Englishman's sixth goal of the season for Southampton.

Closest we have been so far.

Full-back Florent Hadergjonaj gets down the right and pops in a perfect cross for Huddersfield team-mate Christophe Schindler, who leaps and heads a powerful effort on to the crossbar from six yards out.

Looking at the replay, it is a stunning save by Fraser Forster, tipping the ball on to the woodwork.

The Southampton left-back is in a bit of trouble here.

Huddersfield's Florent Hadergjonaj comes in late and hits the...Matt Targett with a late challenge.

Just a quiet word from referee Lee Probert and the Saints defender is OK to carry on.

Southampton are at sixes and sevens, they are sitting so deep in their own box.

Aussie Aaron Mooy finds space 10 yards out, but his shot is blocked on the line by Southampton skipper Steven Davis.

Oh my, Southampton all over the place at the back, you can see why they have been so poor recently.

Huddersfield winger Collin Quaner breaks down the right and cuts the ball back into the box, but Rajiv van La Parra scuffs his shot.

It should be easy for Maya Yoshida to clear, but the Japanese defender takes an airshot and with Tom Ince closing in, goalkeeper Fraser Forster pounces on the ball just in time.

Southampton travel to Tottenham and Manchester United over Christmas, so it's fair to say this is a massive home fixture for boss Mauricio Pellegrino. He needs to restore some confidence in his squad and give a fan base which is becoming rapidly disenchanted a bit of hope.

The Argentine must first decide whether to recall Virgil van Dijk after dropping him at Chelsea last week. If he's not involved that could be the last St Mary's sees of the Dutchman in a home shirt.

Which Huddersfield will we see though? The one which has scored seven goals in their two away wins this season, or the one which didn't score at all in the intervening seven games on the road?

Town have not fared well on their trips to St Mary's in the past but David Wagner's side have written their own history in 2017.

Huddersfield supporter? Made the long trip to Southampton today?

Defender Mathias Jorgensen has offered to buy every Town fan who travels away to the game today a Christmas drink as thanks for their "amazing" support this season.

The gesture could cost the Denmark international more than £8,000.

Meanwhile, the real Zanka is on BBC One right now on Cool Runnings.

    Yeah man.
