    Liverpool 0-1 Leicester

James Milner has started this game well. He's already played two key passes, the same number as Sadio Mane and the majority of those have found Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian has had three shots in total and he could have scored from all three.

But it's Leicester who have that early lead and Claude Puel will certainly be the happier of the two managers.

    Liverpool 0-1 Leicester

Well, this is strange. Referee Neil Swarbrick has asked to swap balls because it's gone a little flat.

Perhaps we can let Mohamed Salah off and use that as an excuse for him not scoring so far in this game?

    Liverpool 0-1 Leicester

Leicester are all over the place now!

James Milner wins the ball in midfield and Roberto Firmino carries it forward.

He strikes it well and Kasper Schmeichel is forced to push it straight into the feet of his centre-backs. The ball rebounds and almost goes straight into the path of Mohamed Salah but he isn't prepared for it and it goes out for a goal-kick.

How has he missed that... again!?

Mohamed Salah is away in the box and all he had to do was chip it over Kasper Schmeichel.

He does but somehow chips it wide. Leicester have been let off there...

    GOOOA- No.

It's a wonderful ball in from Andy Robertson from the left but Sadio Mane, who had poked the ball into the back of the net, is offside.

    Correct decision.

Ooh. Jamie Vardy is through one-on-one with Dejan Lovren but his touch lets him down and the centre-back is able to recover and poke the ball away.

    He's a nuisance that striker...

It's the same man on the ball again and he feeds James Milner who looked like he was going to shoot.

Instead, he lays it off to Roberto Firmino and it bounces back into Milner's path. Kasper Schmeichel is quick off his line to snuff out the danger but Liverpool are getting closer.

    Liverpool 0-1 Leicester

Liverpool are struggling to get hold of the ball at the moment but when they do, they are creating opportunities.

Philippe Coutinho is given space on the edge of the box to shoot and he does so, striking it powerfully but it's straight into the hands of Kasper Schmeichel.

    Liverpool 0-1 Leicester

Christian Fuchs plays a ball into the Liverpool box and James Milner hoofs an awful clearance straight up into the air.

Dejan Lovren heads it away strongly but Leicester are back in possession and putting the pressure on the hosts.

Mohamed Salah finds the space I was just talking about.

Milner slips an excellent ball through and Salah drives forward with pace before Maguire comes sliding in to produce an excellent tackle.

Wonderful defending from the Leicester man.

Claude Puel will be delighted with this start from his side.

Vardy has already found success running in behind the Liverpool defence and he will continue to do that all afternoon.

The question is, will Liverpool find space of their own? Early signs suggest they will. This could be a close one.

    Liverpool 0-1 Leicester

You'd put your money on Salah to score from there.

Sadio Mane drives towards the byeline, feeds the ball across the box and Salah takes an excellent first touch to go past his opponent.

His strike is wide though and Liverpool are still behind.

Ooh that was nice. A little dipping cross from Andy Robertson is just inches away from Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho.

What a start to the game!

Seven of the past nine goals that Leicester have scored against Liverpool in the Premier League have been via Jamie Vardy.

    Jamie Vardy!

He hits a right-footed shot from the centre of the box into the roof of the net. It was put on a plate for him by Riyad Mahrez after a bad mistake by Joel Matip playing out from defence - and Vardy did the rest.

Demarai Gray is already proving a nuisance. He almost skips through the Liverpool defence but is eventually surrounded by red shirts.
