    St Johnstone 1-0 Partick Thistle

    Paul Mitchell
BBC Sport Scotland at McDiarmid Park

"What a difference a finisher can make in the Premiership. Steven Anderson split the defence with a pass read by Michael O'Halloran and his finish across the goalkeeper and in off the post was perfection."

    Hibernian 0-0 Hamilton

Simon Murray latches on to a ball over the top and is through on Gary Woods, who saves his shot. The Hibs striker gets back on the ball and curls one to the back post for Anthony Stokes but his volley is a stinker and Accies defender Georgios Sarris has time to chest the ball into the arms of his goalie.

  8. Postpublished at 15:36 British Summer Time 19 August 2017

    Aberdeen 1-0 Dundee

It's a series of corner kicks for Dundee. The delivery from all three is poor but enough to cause panic in the Dons penalty box.

At the other end Ryan Christie finds himself in space and cracks a lazer towards goal, but Darren O'Dea gets a leg in to steer it wide.

  9. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:36 British Summer Time 19 August 2017

    Hibernian 0-0 Hamilton

Anthony Stokes has three attempts to pass the ball in the centre circle but is thwarted by the eager Accies, who pick up on his hesitancy. The ball comes to Greg Docherty and the Hamilton midfielder drives at the Hibs goal before unleashing a fizzing shot which Ofir Marciano stretches to tip over. The game is coming to life.

  10. goal

GOAL - St Johnstone 1-0 Partick Thistle (O'Halloran)published at 15:33 British Summer Time 19 August 2017

Michael O'Halloran runs on to Steven Anderson's through ball and fires in off the post to give Saints the lead - his fourth goal of the season.

  11. Ouch!published at 15:33 British Summer Time 19 August 2017

    St Johnstone 0-0 Partick Thistle

Partick Thistle's Ryan Edwards catches Paul Paton with a flailing arm and is spoken to by referee Barry Cook, but no card shown.

  12. Accies keeper Woods denies Swansonpublished at 15:31 British Summer Time 19 August 2017

    Hibernian 0-0 Hamilton

Gary Woods has to be on his toes to react to Danny Swanson's right-footed drive from 22 yards. He dives to his left to parry it round the post. That's the first effort on target in this game so far.

  13. Robinson all fired uppublished at 15:30 British Summer Time 19 August 2017

    Motherwell 0-0 Ross County

    Kenny Crawford
BBC Sport Scotland at Fir Park

Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson is certainly wound up for this match against Ross County. As well as disputing some early refereeing calls, the Northern Irishman let rip at his own defenders after some slackness in their play. Most of the stadium were tuned in to hear his back four get barked at.

  14. CHANCE for Thistlepublished at 15:30 British Summer Time 19 August 2017

    St Johnstone 0-0 Partick Thistle

Partick Thistle press in Perth and Chris Erskine's shot bounces back off the chest of goalkeeper Alan Mannus before being cleared.

  15. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:29 British Summer Time 19 August 2017

    Aberdeen 1-0 Dundee

It's another good chance for Dundee who are very much a threat in this game despite Aberdeen's early dominance.

Roarie Deacon's cross is spot on for Fassail El Bakhtaoui, and his header crashes off the crossbar.

BBC Sportsound summariser Willie Miller describes it as being "accurate, but not accurate enough".

  16. Postpublished at 15:29 British Summer Time 19 August 2017

    St Johnstone 0-0 Partick Thistle

    Paul Mitchell
BBC Sport Scotland at McDiarmid Park

"Little between these teams in the opening 25 minutes. Only one effort on goal. Saints' central defensive partnership combined well after a free-kick but Shaughnessy shot straight at Cerny."

  17. Wayward Murray misses chance for Hibspublished at 15:28 British Summer Time 19 August 2017

    Hibernian 0-0 Hamilton

Paul Hanlon picks up the ball deep in his own half and works his way up to the Accies goal-line where he wins a corner. Danny Swanson takes the set-piece from the left and striker Simon Murray, in yards of space, is on to it. His header, though, is horribly misplaced and goes a few feet wide of the Hamilton goal. He grasps his head in dismay, as well he might. He should have at least hit the target from eight yards.

  18. Postpublished at 15:28 British Summer Time 19 August 2017

    Aberdeen 1-0 Dundee

Jack Hendry pushes Stevie May, and the Dons striker ends up stumbling into Pittodrie's South Stand, but referee Kevin Clancy is not interested.

Aberdeen nearly get instant retribution though. Cammy Kerr's clearances is blocked by Kenny McLean, who knocks the ball to Ryan Christie at the near post, but he is denied by goalkeeper Scott Bain.

  19. Rodgers pleased with young playerspublished at 15:24 British Summer Time 19 August 2017

    Kilmarnock 0-2 Celtic

A reminder if you're just joining us that Celtic continued their 100% start to the defence of their title with a 2-0 win at Kilmarnock earlier.

Manager Brendan Rodgers praised the impact of the club's younger players as five academy graduates started the match. The eldest player in defence was Kieren Tierney, at 20, alongside Anthony Ralston, 18, Kristoffer Ajer, 19, and Calvin Miller, 19, while recent signing Kundai Benyu, 19, played in midfield.

"We played very well," Rodgers said. "The Astroturf is always difficult, but technically the players played at a really high level. "We had good control of the tempo of the game, we felt the goal was coming. We scored the first goal [with] a great bit of skill by Tom Rogic, he’s a special player who can make the difference. If you look at it, he just lifted [the ball] over the defender to get into the box and he’s got the awareness to pull it back, and it’s a good finish by James Forrest.

"We deserved the lead and the second half was about controlling that. We had to manage the game and some players. I was so pleased with the contribution of the some of the younger players. Tony Ralston and Calvin Miller have been training with us since last season, they were exceptional today, showing nerve, calmness. It’s a great sign for the future for the club that they can come in and play with quality, but they need good senior players around them as well."

  20. Postpublished at 15:21 British Summer Time 19 August 2017

    Aberdeen 1-0 Dundee

It's a terrific start from Aberdeen but Dundee could have taken the lead just before that goal, only for James Vincent to fluff his lines.

Aberdeen defenders Mark Reynolds and Anthony O'Connor both went for the same ball, and Vincent was able to nip in behind the defence and found himself one on one with goalkeeper Joe Lewis. But he didn't seem to know what to do and in the end Lewis took the ball off him far too easily.
