Ipswich Town have actually shown signs of life after going behind, helped by a couple of moments of carelessness in the Leeds United defence.

Mick McCarthy's animated body language tells you he wants much greater urgency from his team - waving frantically at David McGoldrick to close defenders down.

Goalless as things stand between the Championship's two winless sides, but it's the hosts who have come the closest to breaking the deadlock.

Is it too soon to sack a manager? #bbcefl

Lee Sykes: I think not too early if you look at last season with Gary Caldwell and Harry Redknapp. Not like Frank de Boer with Palace - only 4 games.

Shivam Manghnani: It's better to get rid at this stage when someone clearly isn't working than to go a few months with them.

Harry Redknapp says there is "every chance" his managerial career is over after he was sacked by Birmingham.

"I doubt very much whether it will happen again now," the 70-year-old told BBC Radio 5 live's Sportsweek programme a day after he left St Andrew's.

"I'm a realist. If I could help someone somewhere, help a young manager, I'd love that. I did it at Derby with Darren Wassall and had a great time."

Birmingham City have Lee Carsley managing the team at Derby today, following Harry Redknapp's departure seven days ago.

Carsley has previously had spells in caretaker charge of Coventry and Brentford - could an upturn in results see him get the job on a full-time basis?

In the opposite dugout will be Gary Rowett, who had taken Blues to the verge of the play-off places when he was sacked midway through last season.

Bolton fans - it's not been the start to the season you may have wanted. The Trotters are bottom of the Championship and have conceded more goals than anyone in the league.

"We have to be realistic, we know we are in a difficult position," manager Phil Parkinson told BBC Radio Manchester.

They face Brentford today, who aren't faring much better on the pitch. Is today the day that either of their winless runs ends?

The Portugal Under-21 international has been a revelation for Wanderers since joining on a season-long loan from Atletico Madrid, scoring five goals in total and four in September alone.

There's also a welcome sight on the bench for Wolves fans today - £13m winger Helder Costa returns after five months out with an ankle injury.
