An excellent first half for Sheffield United, who lead 1-0 against 10-man Wolves at Bramall Lane.

Wolves defender Conor Coady was sent off after 15 minutes for pulling back Leon Clarke as the last man, and Clarke later turned in an Enda Stevens cross to score the only goal of the first half.

There's not a great deal happening at St Andrews since an initial rush of action midway through the first half.

Lukas Jutkiewicz heads wide from a Birmingham City corner in an otherwise quiet spell of play.

Sheffield United will go second in the Championship if they can hold on to, or extend, their lead at Bramall Lane.

    Sheffield United 0-0 Wolves

Wolves, with 10 men, are doing the majority of the defending at Bramall Lane and standing up to the test thus far.

Still early days, but you get the feeling that they would snap your hand off for a point right now.

About 10 minutes to go until half-time.

This is a massive test for Wolves. To come through this, everyone has to do their job and they all have to stand up and be counted.

Mel Eves, Former Wolves forward on BBC WM

Sheffield United are dominant at the moment, but haven't found a goal against 10-man Wolves yet.

It seems like substitute Romain Saiss is part of a three-man midfield, with Wolves switching to four at the back following Conor Coady's red card.

Both sides at St Andrew's have been pegged back so far and have turned to shooting from distance.

Adam Reach tries his luck for the Owls first and goes over the bar. At the other end, David Davis shoots from 20 yards out but Wednesday keeper Joe Wildsmith scoops up his effort.

Unsurprisingly, Wolves head coach Nuno makes a defensive change following Conor Coady's red card.

Helder Costa lasts just 19 minutes on his return after almost six months out injured - he's been sacrificed to allow Romain Saiss to come on.

A big moment at Bramall Lane - Wolves are down to 10 men!

Former Sheffield United man Conor Coady pulls back Leon Clarke, he was denying a clear goalscoring opportunity, and the Wanderers' centre-back is off.

The resulting free-kick almost brings about a Blades goal. The hosts have a big advantage now.
