You have to say that's the best chance of the game so far. That's what Watford are waiting for. That one little opportunity.

That was awful defending from Manchester City!

    Watford 0-0 Manchester City

Oh that is close! Jose Holebas delivers a beauty of a cross from wide on the left, Richarlison meets it with a downward header, it looks close... just wide!

    Huddersfield 0-0 Leicester

Huddersfield continue to plug away as Chris Lowe's deep cross is nodded behind by Harry Maguire with Tom Ince lurking.

The corner is taken short before Aaron Mooy's cross is headed behind by the Foxes but Leicester eventually get the ball away.

    Newcastle 1-0 Stoke

Should score! Newcastle captain Jamaal Lascelles scored the winner at Swansea last weekend and he meets another dreamboat of a delivery from Matt Ritchie in the middle, he must only be a few yards out, but he guides it wide!

  6. CLOSE!published at 15:22 British Summer Time 16 September 2017

    Liverpool 0-0 Burnley

Mohamed Salah picks himself from that penalty appeal disappointment to head just over the bar from Daniel Sturridge's cross. Not far off.

The Newcastle fans must be in dreamland at the moment. If they can get that momentum going they can be really pleased.

They have started very well this season.

    Watford 0-0 Manchester City

Still no breakthrough for Manchester City in the teeming rain but that's pretty close again - Sergio Aguero's deflected shot loops wide. From the corner, Kevin de Bruyne puts in a beauty of a cross which Nicolas Otamendi would surely bury, but Daryl Janmaat bravely clears, taking a right whack in the process.

    Liverpool 0-0 Burnley

Attack versus defence as Liverpool continue to try and prise open the Burnley backline.

There's appeals for a penalty as Mohamed Salah tumbles inside the area as he attempts to spin his marker. Nothing given.

    Christian Atsu (19 mins)

The first goal of the three o'clockers! It's a good goal too, Newcastle patiently working the ball from left to right, Matt Ritchie floats over a delicious cross and Christian Atsu, backing up from the opposite wing, volleys home from a few yards out.

    Huddersfield 0-0 Leicester

    Danny Mills
Ex-Man City and England defender on Football Focus

Huddersfield have been really on the front foot. They were a bit too defensive last week. They look at it today though.

They are giving their fans something to shout about. Leicester haven't really been in the game so far.

I'm really impressed by Watford manager Marco Silva. He's made a change 15 minutes in and gone 4-4-2, putting Tom Cleverley up front, and it's helping Watford press.

Muhammad Owais Khan: Sterling is still a weak link in city's attack with that finishing. he just doesn't seem to learn.

Colin: With Man City, Man Utd and Chelsea up next, looks like Roy will lose his first 4 games in charge. Sam Allardyce back in October?

Jack Butland has to be on his toes to clear his lines under pressure as Newcastle turn it up a notch. No real chances to speak of though.

    Watford 0-0 Manchester City

Manchester City are up to 73% of possession so far, Kevin de Bruyne is conducting his own symphony out there. He finds Sergio Aguero on the right of the area, he has Gabriel Jesus for company but Aguero goes for an outlandish chip which lands on the roof of the net!

    Huddersfield 0-0 Leicester

What a player Huddersfield have in Aaron Mooy. The midfielder is everywhere for the Terriers, playing a significant part in the home side's lively start.

A sliding tackle sees the Australian win possession on halfway before he sprays the ball out wide to Tom Ince. The former Derby forward attempts to break into the area but sees his run halted by a Leicester defender.

Huddersfield will want to get a goal while they are on top.

    Liverpool 0-0 Burnley

Good defending by Burnley. They are quick to close down the Liverpool players as soon as they get near the final third and the Reds are forced to abandon a promising attack and play the ball backwards.

    West Brom 0-0 West Ham

Chance! Chris Brunt, on the right for West Brom, pulls over a dangerous cross which is hacked out of the goalmouth but only balloons up into the air. Kieran Gibbs comes haring in from left-back, hits it on the volley but can only meekly side-foot into a West Ham defender.

From the corner Gareth Barry is close to a headed goal on his big day but it's over the top!

    Watford 0-0 Manchester City

Manchester City are raiding down their right every time, Raheem Sterling is in but miskicks, and when the ball is half cleared that man Fernandinho is there to fire in a 20-yarder but it's straight at Heurelho Gomes.
