"First half we were okay," says Kilmarnock manager Lee McCulloch following the defeat at Fir Park. "We passed the ball pretty well and looked solid in our shape. I was happy at half-time but was forced into a change when Gordon Greer pulled up with a groin injury.

"In the second half, I thought we got bullied a little bit. Motherwell played well and were probably the better team in the first 25 minutes of the second half. I think that's what won them the game."

"We started the game really well," said Ross County manager Jim McIntyre.

"We asked the boys for a fast start. I thought both wide players were causing problems for Thistle.

"They score from a breakaway throw which is really frustrating and we switch off and we get done. That just puts that seed of doubt in your minds when you have lost the last three matches. Credit to the players, they stuck at it.

"We told them to keep believing at half-time and it would come. Keep doing the right things and to a man in the second half they were excellent.

"We had to deal with enforced injuries as well but I thought every substitute that came on really played their part as well.

"So, disappointment that we have not managed to pick up the three points when I look back at the chances but I have got to be pleased when we have scored so late as well."

Did Partick Thistle boss Alan Archibald think a draw was a fair result? "I think so.

"I thought we had the better chances first-half. I thought we dealt with the onslaught in the first ten or fifteen minutes, we knew that was coming. Once we dealt with that it opened up a bit, and I thought we looked really dangerous on the counter-attack and picked some great areas up."

"Delighted with the performance, obviously we were penned in in the second-half but I thought we rode the storm actually and dealt with their two strikers up to that point... and then we don't deal with an aimless ball into the box.

"That's the positive, we got a point and we're not sitting on zero points so that's a big positive. But it feels like a defeat because we were leading for so long. We'll take it as a positive and try to build on it next week [Partick Thistle are at home to Rangers]."

St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright talking to BBC Sportsound: "I'm more satisfied with the point than the performance.

"We moved the ball well for 20 minutes, looked energetic, then, for whatever reason, Hibs dominated the game.

"You think the goal will lift us but it didn't. We were too deep and allowed Hibs too much possession and they controlled the game.

"We didn't retain possession, people took an extra touch. There were a lot of things we can't be happy with."

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes on BBC Radio Scotland: "Any time you come away from home and are not at our best and get a clean sheet, you have to lick your wounds and take the points.

"I thought we were outstanding in the first half but were not clinical enough.

"I think Christophe Berra has pulled Adam Rooney's shirt early on in the penalty box.

"Hearts are a good team, they have good players and I think they came after us a bit quicker after the break and were a bit better than us in the second half.

"On the balance of play, I think we've deserved the point although Hearts had the better chances."

McInnes was full of praise for goalkeeper Joe Lewis.

"Joe makes all the saves look comfortable, but he fills the goal and always looks like he is in control of the situation, but he made some brilliant saves," he said.

Motherwell boss Stephen Robinson praised his side following their third straight victory at Fir Park.

"I'm not surprised by the spirit and character of the team - that's why we wanted to sign players who wanted to play here," he said. "We've got a very good group of boys.

"First half I thought we dominated the game but made bad decisions when we had the ball. We possibly went too long, too early. In the second half, we changed it completely. We bought that extra pass and dominated the game."

Hearts manager Craig Levein was disappointed despite taking a point against last year's runners-up.

"I suppose Aberdeen are flying just now and, in the cold light of tomorrow, I might be happy with the point," he said. "But I don't feel that now.

"I think we got caught up in the whole occasion and Aberdeen started well.

"However, we worked hard and the game started tor turn in our favour.

"From the first minute to the last, they kept going and, for the last 15 minutes, we had Aberdeen on the ropes.

"I think, if we had got the goal, we would have gone on to win.

"Joe Lewis is off my Christmas card list as I don't know how he made some of those saves."

Hibernian boss Neil Lennon was content with his side's display if not the result as they drew with St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park.

"To come here and play as well as that - I'm delighted," Lennon told BBC Scotland.

"We looked a very good side today and I can't criticise any parts of the team. We were outstanding and thoroughly deserved to win the game.

"The dominance of the team pleased me. To come here isn't easy and St Johnstone do what they do very well."
