Greg: Yawningly predictable scores so far this evening. The billions in football really does make it uncompetitive now sadly.

  4. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:01 British Summer Time 20 September 2017

    Everton 2-0 Sunderland

So close to a hat-trick! Dominic Calvert-Lewin meets a cross from the right with a stumbling, diving header and his connection is spot on, loads of power but the ball cannons away off the post!

  5. goal

GOAL - Chelsea 4-0 Nottingham Forestpublished at 20:56 British Summer Time 20 September 2017

    Michy Batshuayi (53 mins)

Absolutely brilliant from Eden Hazard! A long ball over the top is controlled by Hazard, who dances around the keeper, could roll it in but there is a defender on the line so he rolls it into the path of Michy Batshuayi, and he fires in low.

  7. CLOSE!published at 20:55 British Summer Time 20 September 2017

    Arsenal 1-0 Doncaster

Theo Walcott should score, he's in on goal after a cracking ball from Olivier Giroud but he hesitates slightly and then fires over. When he's one-on-one you're never especially confident, are you?

  8. Musonda catches the eyepublished at 20:54 British Summer Time 20 September 2017

    Chelsea 3-0 Nottingham Forest

    Jonathan Overend
BBC Radio 5 live at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea fans have loved the pace and the tricks of young Belgian Charly Musonda. Or to give him his official title, Charly Musonda Jr (his Dad played midfield for Anderlecht).

He's so slight, and looks about 13, but his pace has drawn so many fouls and is a constant threat. Took his goal well - celebrating with a swallow dive - and almost had a second on the stroke of half time. One for the future.

  9. goal

GOAL - Everton 2-0 Sunderlandpublished at 20:53 British Summer Time 20 September 2017

    Dominic Calvert-Lewin (51 mins)

Lovely finish! Sandro plays in a fine ball from the left, Dominic Calvert-Lewin has space to motor in to, he looks up and clips a left-footed shot into the roof of the net.

  10. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:51 British Summer Time 20 September 2017

    Chelsea 3-0 Nottingham Forest

Eden Hazard is making his first start of the season tonight and he wriggles into space and curls a shot against the far post - it bounces clear. Unlucky.

  11. Sergio Romero's super recordpublished at 20:50 British Summer Time 20 September 2017

    Man Utd 3-0 Burton Albion

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

It looks like Sergio Romero's first appearance of the season is going to extend an impressive record at Manchester United that dates back to 18 February 2016.

That night, the Argentina international was in goal as United suffered a surprise 2-1 defeat to Danish side Midtjylland in the Europa League.

This is Romero's 21st appearance since. His record prior to tonight was won 16 drawn four, lost zero. Clean sheets 13. Not bad for a stand in.

  12. 'Low key, flat atmosphere'published at 20:49 British Summer Time 20 September 2017

    Everton 1-0 Sunderland

    Ian Dennis
    Radio 5 live commentator

23,593 is the attendance at Goodison for the first of a run of four successive home matches.

Have to say, a very low key, flat atmosphere and not much to excite the Everton fans.

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:47 British Summer Time 20 September 2017

    West Brom 0-1 Manchester City

Speaking of talented keepers, Ben Foster makes a brilliant one-handed save to keep out Raheem Sterling's curler! Sensational.

  17. The Talented Mr Ripleypublished at 20:46 British Summer Time 20 September 2017

    Manchester United 3-0 Burton Albion

    Gary Flintoff
    BBC Radio 5 live

Connor Ripley is making a name for himself in the Burton goal. He has made two or three decent saves against a rampant United forward line. Ripley's dad, Stuart, was a flying winger for Blackburn.

He provided the ammunition for Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton when Rovers won the Premier League. There is no question that Marcus Rashford has been as clinical as Alan Shearer this evening.

  18. ouch!

Postpublished at 20:45 British Summer Time 20 September 2017

    Manchester United 3-0 Burton Albion

Ouch indeed! Luke Varney goes up for a challenge with Chris Smalling, eyes on the ball but he catches the defender with a boot, around the neck. A very topical sort of challenge. No cards shown.

  19. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 20:42 British Summer Time 20 September 2017

    Manchester United 3-0 Burton Albion

There are a few goal bonuses hoping to be cashed in tonight as Jesse Lingard bursts into the area, easily breezes away from a man in yellow and then goes down as Ben Turner comes across to make the challenge. Nothing given - did he clip the England man's heels?

  20. Own goal?published at 20:39 British Summer Time 20 September 2017

    Danny Mills
Ex-England defender on BBC Radio 5 live

That has to go down as an own goal. That was going wide.

Pace, power and speed...Manchester United are devastating going forward.
