    Sheff Wed 1-0 Barnsley

Former Wednesday stopper Adam Davies is keeping Barnsley in this South Yorkshire derby, again making a fantastic save to deny Tom Lees.

Can the Owls sneak a second goal before half-time?

  2. Burton look to end scoring droughtpublished at 13:11 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Burton v Ipswich (15:00 BST)

Even Burton Albion boss Nigel Clough says their position in the bottom three of the Championship is not a big surprise, but no goals in five winless games is something that needs to change.

"We are not too far away; we just need a break. Everybody needs to step up. Individually, as well as collectively, we just have to do a little bit more," Clough told BBC Radio Derby.

    It's been coming!

For as unlucky as Kieran Lee's effort was a few moments ago, this has fortune written all over it. Adam Reach lines up a shot but slips as he strikes the ball, causing it to deflect off his standing foot and loop over Adam Davies and into the net.

Do Wednesday fans care? Not a jot - their team are ahead.

My word, the hosts have almost found a superb first goal!

Kieran Lee is a good 30 yards out here, but spots goalkeeper Adam Davies slightly off his line and sends a shot rifling against the Barnsley post. Unlucky.

The best teenage performance for your team

    England U17Image source, Rex Features

I can't imagine it's escaped your attention that England are playing Spain in the World Cup final this afternoon. Sure, it's the Under-17s, but we'll cling onto anything, right?

Anyhow, with Rhian Brewster's hat-tricks in the quarters and semis earning the Liverpool youngster plenty of attention, it got us thinking about teenage stars who have graced our own clubs.

What's the best performance you can remember by a teenager for your team? And did they go on to fulfill their potential or just disappear into oblivion?

Send your answers on a postcard or, probably more practically, by using #bbcefl on Twitter.

  9. Rowett wants more despite Rams runpublished at 12:51 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Norwich v Derby (15:00 BST)

They're five games unbeaten and now just three points from the Championship play-off places, but Derby County manager Gary Rowett has been quite critical of his side's displays.

The Rams have won just once on the road this season and go to Norwich this afternoon.

"My concern is, as a manager, is that if you allow bad habits to develop, at some point they are going to bite you on the backside and you will lose a game or two because of it," Rowett told BBC Radio Derby.

Derby County manager Gary Rowett says he still expects more from his side despite a fourth home win in five matches.

You come off the bench and bag your side an equaliser - surely you'd expect to start the next game?

Perhaps so ordinarily but after his leveller against Sunderland last time out, Brentford striker Neal Maupay has scored three in 66 minutes as a substitute this season... compared to no goals in 752 minutes when starting in the league.

Sheffield Wednesday have had all the play in the early stages - and the best part of 70% possession - but Barnsley have created the first genuine chance.

Tom Bradshaw is the man with it, wriggling beyond two defenders and getting a clear run at goal, but Tom Lees just about gets back to him to block it away.

  14. Can Preston reach the 'promised land'?published at 12:40 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Preston v Brentford (15:00 BST)

Promotion to the Premier League is an achievable goal for Preston North End, according to manager Alex Neil.

Preston, who have lost just two of their 13 Championship games so far and are eighth in the table, are the only former top-flight champions to never have played in the Premier League.

"It's easier said than done, but equally we've all got a common goal and we all think it's achievable and if we work towards it you never know," Neil told BBC Radio Lancashire.

  19. Owls move nearly got me in a fight - Heckingbottompublished at 12:27 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

Sheff Wed v Barnsley (12:30 BST)

Few people know just how big a rivalry there is between Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley as well as Tykes boss Paul Heckingbottom.

The Barnsley native spent 18 months with the Owls before a two-year spell at Oakwell and says his move to Hillsborough was not well received.

"I nearly got into a fight in town in the first week. It was someone I knew as well," he told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"I think for most Barnsley fans this is the biggest rivalry.

"I walked in on two fans arguing about it in a shop the other day and they saw me me walk in and they didn't say anything for a while and then they started again."

  20. Owls can not hide - Carvalhalpublished at 12:25 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

Sheff Wed v Barnsley (12:30 BST)

Sheffield Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal has said he is finding out about his players in their tough run of form.

The Owls have lost four of their last five Championship games.

Carvalhal told BBC Radio Sheffield: "These moments can happen in life. If this was easy then I would not be the second longest serving manager in the Championship.

"A bad period is when you can check what the people around you are like as people. You find out what kind of player and fan someone is.

"If you hide in this moment then you are not a man."
